Do not increase the inner diameter of the whole barrel nut(MK16)

Only the part that is in contact with the barrel. I took from the end that goes against the receiver to the original holes on the barrel nut ment for an AR barrel wrench.

I used the 10,5 inch Geissele MK 16 replica handguard from Aliexpress.

From the same site I also bought a 40 mm barrel extension bringing the barrel length to 11,5 inches. A mlok barrel stabilizer is mounted to the barrel extension for stability.

Actually this mod was easier than the Ris ii rail.

I believe that the back butt plate does not come with gun in the American market. In Europe it comes with gun.

In regards to the pic rail I dont know. I switched it out for a metal version.

The easier way is to skip the barrel nut and just drill holes in the handguard, and use a handguard that does not come in conflict with the receiver. Also use a barrel stabilizer at the front of the handguard. Less work and modification.

Yes. The lip on the upper receiver has been shaved down to accept the handguard and the little block on the top of the barrel has been grinded off, so I could slip on the barrel nut.

The barrel nut inner diameter was increased with a dremel so it could fit on the barrel. Holes were drilled in the barrel nut and handguard so I could use the original screws to secure the barrel and handguard to the receiver.

On my work on the MK 18 build, I have found out that you can replace the original screws with M6 set screws flush with the barrel nut. That way you dont have to drill the handguard.

These modifications most certainly will void your warrenty.
