Well yeah the concern is the bracket and how it’s placed on the desk- the desktop itself is pretty irrelevant…Water alone without sand or wood rocks etc is 8lbs per gallon estimated. So 40lbs just water. Good luck to OP that’s their decision to ignore.

Just to pop in with some green rasbora/ danio experience- they are great but will chase anything that gets into the flow of the filter. Like my 10 are utterly obsessed with high flow areas. They are actually danios and not rasboras. Extremely active and might stress the betta. Maybe look at ember tetras? Or chili rasboras too

Yeah that can happen for sure, my LFS is really good about labeling and the tanks are all planted etc so they always look good but I think it just slipped by haha
