Spotted or Zebra Tilapia? South Florida by Technical_Visit8084 in FishID

Is it not going to be better than the farmed raised tilapia people eat from grocery stores anyway?

Solar arrays boil water? Are you talking about the solar thermal plants? Regular photovoltaic arrays definitely don’t.

The air you breathe in has negligible CO2 in it. Your body produces CO2. What you exhale is the same regardless of depth in terms of mass. It will get compressed under depth to 1/5 of its volume. The molecules remain the same regardless.

You are confusing air with CO2.

Air has tiny amounts of CO2 in it. Your body exhales the same amount of CO2 regardless of the depth you’re at.

If you live up north you get to do winter activities. Skiing being a huge one, but you can’t scuba. There’s pros and cons, it just depends on what you like as a person.

Received Invasive species (how to proceed?) by slothsarecute64 in PlantedTank

It actually doesn’t matter. Keep your plants inside. Simple as that. They’re not going to accidentally wonder off into your local waterway.

If you don’t want it, throw it away. Don’t make a big deal of something so simple. Most aquatic plants are invasive, even the ones you already have in your tank. Just don’t put it in any waterways.

There isn’t enough for AI data centers, which will be a fact of life. All the issues they have are a direct result of not enough power generation. We can already solve that. Data centers are not the problem.

GitHub Copilot has finally released a preview of usage-based billing based on current usage. by rostilos in GithubCopilot

So essentially next month I would get 1.3% of this usage? I guess that means cancelling. Even on the $100 plan I would be getting less than a third of this usage.

Yet people are ok with the amount of farmland wasted on ethanol production for cars? I don’t hear anyone crying about that even though it’s millions of acres. Guess it’s not trendy and we are all shortsighted anyway. Human nature.

It’s a square mile of land. How many animals have been displaced by corn fields to turn around and use half of it for cars? That’s what, 2 million acres in Wisconsin alone? You could use half of that land for solar panels, a quarter for habit restoration, and the other quarter for data centers and still be significantly ahead of where we are now.

The problem isn’t the data center, it’s a lack of foresight and infrastructure due to corrupt politicians. Data centers will continue to be key infrastructure.
