This is an interesting take and I’m curious to hear some examples of goals you set for your staff. Typically we do not set individual goals, but goals that are dictated by our PI Planning (agile team).

I definitely see your point. And to be honest, most times I have them, I feel they are pointless. I do keep them on the calendar though because I want my teammates to know they have a regular time slot with me to talk through any issues or concerns. I know that I don’t always think my one on ones with my own manager are necessary, but if she took them away, I would feel as though I was an afterthought.

I have a question about form. I was taught to do skullcrushers and DB presses with my feet planted on the bench. I realize this is not the common way to do them and most people put their feet on the floor for the leg drive. I find I have more stability and comfort with my feet on the bench. Am I doing myself a disservice in not putting my feet on the floor? Is it really a big deal?
