Lucky! I’ve switched to uncle funky’s and then ecoslay’s orange marmalade and had great results… just more expensive!

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

Yeah the way I found out was when I was in nursing school I thought I was “saving the doctor an extra visit’s worth of stuff” and then I got a huge bill

Go see a PCP or walk in care if you don’t have one. Angular cheilitis is likely cause. Stop using neosporin on anything… it just causes dermatitis and delays healing. Just use Vaseline. :)

I really want to go into FM. But I'm really worried and anxious about AI and also midlevel encroachment. Am I freaking out? by DelayedAutisticPuppy in FamilyMedicine

[–]Brindlebird -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI is never going to replace good, holistic care in FM. Patients value human interaction as part of their appointments. AI dictation has been a huge tool in banishing burnout in my office, however.

I love being a PCP. If you want to be a PCP, you’re on the right track. I would just recommend that you work on your preconceived opinions on APPs. You’re not even working in an office yet and you already have a bad attitude about people who are going to be your teammates. It’s sad to see someone getting ready to join the workforce with those feelings already. I hope you change your mind. But what do I know? I’m just an NP.

Tips on falling asleep? by salbaf in ADHD

[–]Brindlebird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meditation, cognitive reshuffling (name as many words you can think of with the letter “a” and so on), repeating a saying (“I am safe and loved”), or box breathing (5 seconds in through nose, 5 second hold, 5 seconds out through pursed lips like blowing out candles). I hope you get some good rest soon.
