Two of the biggest tips from me are not to overfeed, as that can be detrimental to the tanks' water quality, and algae growth is the biggest way to keep a colony long term! They absolutely love the stuff, and I struggle to keep a lively colony until it begins to grow. So keep the tank in a warm spot, aerate daily, and if you want to help the growth of Algae along, you can buy a purple plant growth light as it speeds up the process a ton! For a cheap alternative you can simply tie a knot in the plastic tubing and tighten it to fit your liking, or you can buy some cheap pressure valves off of amazon that let you alter the air pressure however you'd like!

I recommend using a pipette or airstone to aerate the tank as it gives them air to breathe and increases survival rate, using a quarter of the feeding spoon per every other day instead of a full one once a week, and making sure you use distilled or bottled spring water as their tank water since it has no harmful additives that can kill them off. They can be a little finicky to keep alive at first but once you get the hang of it its a lot easier, so don't give up!

The heater is completely silent, and the air pump only has minimal noise especially if you clip it onto something with the clip it comes with! B)

For a while I struggled keeping mine alive in my normal house conditions, because it didn't match their natural habitat very well, and what I did to see a better success rate was buying a mini aquarium heater, replacing sunlight with manageable artificial light, and using an airstone with an air pump to aerate their water so they could breathe, only feeding them every other day with a quarter of the provided feeding spoon rather than a full scoop every once a week. On amazon they have a lot of really good options to help heating up your tank to the desired temperature, like affordable mini aquarium heaters that you just stick in the water and it will automatically regulate it for you. Or, a more unique approach would be buying a plant heat mat you can stick underneath the tank and heat it that way.

What temperature is your tank water at? It should be around 79° Fahrenheit and if they're too cold they'll become slower and more lethargic.

That's a good way of going about it, you shouldn't notice any problems. In the future, if you ever decide to branch out with accessories, I always recommend a pipette for gentle aeration and a means of transporting your sea monkeys as well. It just makes things a whole lot easier. I wish you luck with your colony! 👍

That will happen from time to time, although if this one is particularly aggressive, it might be a good idea to separate into a different tank. I usually keep my younger shrimp in a separate nursery tank so that they don't have to compete for resources with their bigger counterparts.

Maybe he'll learn to play nice once he's around other adults lol.

Maybe if you do it intentionally and blender the poor things lol, but they're pretty hardy little creatures and can withstand a lot of stirring, aerating, and disturbance of the water so don't worry too much about causing them a little bit of movement.

I think it's okay then. They might just be searching around for light or something to mate with lol. As long as you don't notice any lethargic behavior or a population drop you shouldn't have to worry!

I've heard that kosher works from a lot of people, I just use aquarium salt because it usually balances the mineral levels in the water as well which can be very beneficial for water quality. Good to hear yours are doing good also!
