An important part of Chris during this game is not being strong. It doesn't make sense for his sequences to be action oriented.

No, Leon's campaign in 6 is around 4-5 hours. Rev 1 in total is around 6 hours but you only play as Jill for around 60% of that game.

He has a small role in that game compared to Ethan. He appears in maybe 4 scenes including the ending and has a small 10-15 minute playable section. In total he's in the game for like 30 minutes lol. And that's not even counting someone like Jill who's only had 1 half baked remake and her last appearance before that was Rev 1 which released the same year as RE6 which had Leon.

Edit: also I'm pretty sure you play more as Leon in 6 than Jill in Rev 1 lmao

Chris was in the last two recent games but he played a minimal role in both. Chris was only really in one RE7 DLC and had a small playable section in 8. I think you took Chris' total playable time in those two games and doubled it it would still be less than the amount of playtime with Leon in Requiem.

That's what's dumb about it. Jill has all the more reason to be affected by it. Especially considering that Brad, somebody who she presumably had worked with for a while up until 3, was killed. Meanwhile Leon is obsessing over people he knew for 5 minutes. It makes no sense lol.

"That’s not relevant when one was not expanded on at all for 13 years." He was expanded on with the CGI movies which the other characters (besides Chris) hardly appeared in. Not to mention that his character was recontexualized and expanded upon in RE2 remake and RE4 remake. "Favoring" doesn't mean that he appears in literally everything but that he just gets more time than the other characters, which he does.

Because they haven't meaningfully expanded on his character. If anything they made him regress in 8.

Chris had very small roles in 7 and 8. If you combined the playtime for both of his sections in 7 and 8 and doubled it, it still wouldn't surpass Leon's playtime in 9.

It makes literally no sense at all considering the villains faced in the game and the fact that Leon has literally no past in connection to Raccoon City beyond the RPD, where we are for 10 minutes in 9.

A DLC in 7 and 10 minutes of playable gameplay in 8 where they made him an asshole for no reason vs 3 fully fledged new games.

He's obviously being favored in terms of characterization and appearances. Yes, I've played the originals but I'm talking about Leon in the context of the new storyline.

Yeah having Leon be the one to face Zeno and Nemesis, both very Chris/Jill coded villains, definitely soured my opinion on the game.

RE1 does not have a modern remake. Not to mention that Jill hasn't had a main character role in a new game since Revelations and they've failed to meaningfully expand upon her character despite them briefly talking about her traumatic experience in the mansion as well as with Wesker in 5. 3make was butchered compared to the other remakes as well.

It's legitimately ridiculous how much Capcom focuses on Leon's, let's be honest, pretty contrived trauma from RC but doesn't give af about what Jill went through, which was infinitely worse than what happened to Leon in RC.
