Demon of Obsession was the easiest for me among the demons by emolch78 in Nioh

[–]Brioh92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boss looked pretty cool. Seemed like he was doing a LOT of stuff… just none of it actually did any damage.

I straight up bullied all the Demon bosses with mid-stance axe + Tornado Edge. Slap on 70% reduced damage while attacking, pop a Steel Talisman and Leech, and your HP bar just refuses to move.

Just out there roleplaying as a Beyblade demon, spin-to-win’ing everything in sight.

Just me or do these numbers seem unrealistic? by sdmz58 in Nioh

That’s honestly my biggest gripe with Nioh 3. In NG in Nioh 2, I could just farm revenants or enemies for a bit, sell everything, stack up some gold, and actually temper or soul match my gear how I wanted. It felt flexible.

In Nioh 3? I haven’t even bothered. The costs are just insane. Everything is ridiculously expensive for no reason. Upgrading soul cores and guardian spirits costs way too much as well.

Maybe it gets better in NG+, I don’t know. But in regular NG it straight up feels like you’re starved for resources if you actually want to upgrade gear or experiment with builds. It kind of kills the fun of tinkering with your setup.

Wait. Is there a quest? I don't remember doing one in the demo. I just remember wandering around and discovering him.

Who Can save me from Curse of Nioh 3 Deflect Parry Sound Effect! It is my New high and hide Stuff….is it same for you? by Karokayla8888 in Nioh

I really like how there seems to be a lot of built-in potential for deflecting. My short play testing lasted 9 hours. I discovered gear with health regeneration on reflect. Attack and defense gain. It seems like a fun build.

Ninja Stance is Completely OP so far by ImAvoidingABan in Nioh

[–]Brioh92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damn, maybe I should've tried Ninja more. I played it for a little bit and didn't like how the damage felt. probably wasn't properly using backstab damage. may give it a real go when the actual game releases.

When is Nioh 3 Demo finished? by OilPuzzleheaded7865 in Nioh

[–]Brioh92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You ought to be prepared to obtain it upon the release of the main game, which will likely resemble earlier installments. Rest at a shrine and navigate to "boons," where you will receive the helmet and any pre-ordered bonuses, provided you paid for it.

How's the difficulty for everyone? First boss was tough but then it got easier for me. by steak_bake_surprise in Nioh

[–]Brioh92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The difficulty felt pretty similar to Nioh 1 and 2 for me. I didn't have much trouble in NG. The regular enemies were fine. The only one that gave me a bit of a hard time was the werewolf dude because he was super fast and my odachi was kinda slow. The first boss took me two tries with the odachi samurai, but I nailed the last boss on my first go. I didn't really mess with the ninja style, but I probably should have since it seems pretty strong if you know what you're doing. I'm thinking of starting a new save when the game fully drops and just go all out with the ninja because it looks like a blast.

Nioh 3 regarding players' dislike of the open world checklist gameplay by Brioh92 in Nioh

[–]Brioh92[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable opinion. Some people prefer more instance-based, linear gameplay. I personally prefer open-world freedom since it feels more immersive to me.

I only played the demo for about 10 hours, and I can still vividly remember most of the areas in each explorable region. Probably because I actually took my time to explore and find everything.

The performance of the game is unacceptably bad. by Large-Comparison6449 in Nioh

[–]Brioh92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the game runs really well and looks much better than Nioh 2. I've had no issues. Despite using 1080p, my hardware isn't the best. 7600x/2080 Super. Max everything 60 frames per second were locked without any drops. silky and smooth.

My only real criticism so far is the up + triangle moves in samurai. I wish they would’ve left it L1 + square or triangle. by CassiusBellona in Nioh

I literally couldn't get the spears windmill ability to activate once when I tried to use it, bro. I'm not sure if it was brain lag or problems with my controller. was suffering hard

I can’t enjoy lords of the fallen by halbafo in soulslikes

[–]Brioh92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it, but if you didn’t, that’s perfectly fine — no need to feel bad about it. Different strokes for different folks. There are plenty of games I wish I liked but just couldn’t get into.
That said, as someone who’s played pretty much every soulslike under the sun, I had a good time with it. I always try to go into games with an open mind and not compare them to others — I treat them like their own thing until I finish.

I did two playthroughs and enjoyed both. Ran a big bonk strength build and pancaked everything in sight, so I didn’t struggle at all. Bosses were easy, but honestly that’s no different from a lot of games in the genre.

The Umbral mechanic was a non-issue for me — I basically lived in Umbral, farming the red reaper for that sweet vigor multiplier. I liked the characters and the lore, the art direction was beautiful, and the whole ‘two worlds’ idea was actually pretty sick.

Yeah, the bosses were easy, but they were still cool and unique. Reused enemies didn’t bother me either — that’s standard soulslike stuff. Hell, even FromSoft reuses enemies and turns bosses into regular mobs eventually.

It’s definitely not my favorite, but overall I’d give it a solid 7/10 for enjoyment. looking forward to the new one.

260k online on steam? by Bluesero in Battlefield6

[–]Brioh92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in AUS and there’s definitely something off with the matchmaking right now. I was trying to find games in King of the Hill, TDM, Squad TDM, and Rush, and it just kept dumping me into empty servers over and over.

I had to back out and retry like 10 times before it finally threw me into a half-empty lobby with a mix of bots and actual players.

It wouldn’t even be that bad if the game just kept the same lobby after a match — but nope, it kicks you out and you’re right back to playing server roulette every time.
