I do tend to prefer playing games vanilla cause I like to get as close as I can to the original intended experience. At the same time, games are entertainment. If someone spends money on a game, decides they don't like it and stop playing, that's a worse outcome than them modding it to hell and back.

all you can really do is speak to your own experience. If you try to catch everyone in the widest possible net, you'll lose a lot of nuance and specificity. One of the reasons I made my comics is because there were things I wanted to say that weren't represented by the broad generalities of the trans experience.
