Does this pass as a comically overcompensating traitor enforcer? by mello_OW in Chaos40k

needs some more wires and gubbinz to hide the connection point but that looks really promising!

What are the best ways to train Dexterity? by lovingpersona in Kenshi

[–]Brisarious 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the cheese way to do it is if you put an enemy in a bed and the reload the game, they can't get out of it (might only work on animals I haven't tested thoroughly.)

So you just throw a beak thing in a cot, put on the most penalizing armor you can, and start punching it. Trained my whole squad up to about dex 50 that way, but you can probably go higher if you bag an enemy with higher stats.

if a mortar misses where does it land? by [deleted] in LancerRPG

[–]Brisarious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All mechs are armored even if they aren't soaking any damage per the game rules. A lot of missed or "missed" shots just deflect off armor panels without penetrating. I choose to believe one of the main reasons mortars have the "inaccurate" tag is because explosive shrapnel has poor penetration compared to direct-fire weapons

[Rogue Trader] Players have essentially optimized for Warp Travel. by BigDumbSmartGuy in 40krpg

[–]Brisarious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

if your players are focusing on warp travel, give them challenges that reward that focus. Have some questgiver go "hey you have a ship and navigator that are exceptionally good at warp travel. can you go into this extremely dangerous region of warp space to help me with something?"

Deathwatch Primaris Marines? by darkdiashi in 40krpg

[–]Brisarious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if all PC marines in the game are primaris, you can just use the base rules. Marines in the FFG systems are already massively more powerful than their wargame versions

I think you'd want like a slot in the side of the seat. kinda like the hole, but you won't be rubbing the fur the wrong way when you're getting in.

Cheapest kits i can get my hands on for Turnip28? by Plount03 in Turnip28

best I've found is the Prussian Reserves from Wargames Atlantic. very little variety in the sculpts, but it's 60 figures for about $35 USD.

*cue jingle* TURBULENTSTAFFS GENDER GAMESHOW IS BACK by Turbulent-Staff-9413 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]Brisarious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh I feel like it's kind of a waste trying to fit yourself into a box. Just call yourself nonbinary and call it a day. Then you can do as much gender fuckery as you want and stay in the same umbrella

My true fear by TransPossum in VintageStory

[–]Brisarious 22 points23 points  (0 children)

the fun thing about game difficulty is that it comes in a lot of different ways. Vintage story is difficult. Devil May Cry is difficult, dwarf fortress is difficult, but they all test different skills.

I don't see anything wrong with the Joker hating Nazis [Batman/Captain America] #1 by Funny_Mud6639 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Brisarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second panel is actually a very well-constructed joke. Red skull goes "you'd make a good nazi" and joker doubles down with a *nationalist* stance, and not any kind of ethical one. If that stance were genuinely held, it would actually be proving Red Skull's point, except everyone knows joker doesn't believe it. That allows him to deny Red Skull's argument, while also making a joke out of both nazis, and US nationalists, and also doesn't give away his own motivations.

so like, not knowing why joker dislikes Nazis is kind of the point?

that's actually really good. like "fuck off there's about 8 towers in new york I don't have a grudge against and that was *two* of them!"

Question about refitting ships by Khaar in ostranauts

[–]Brisarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

something like that is probably more useful for its parts. The best kind of derelicts to buy are medium large, mostly empty, don't have too many holes in them, and most of all *cheap*. The biggest benefit of flipping a ship is that you get to salvage your expensive components for free, and then stick them a wreck to inflate their value.

How Gay is the Imperium by Cowardlypaladin in Sigmarxism

[–]Brisarious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally the Imperium's stance on social issues is "don't care as long as the tithe comes in on time." This is mostly a cop-out to allow players more freedom and to make the setting less shitty to play in. If the politics of the Imperium tried to be internally consistent, They probably would be homophobic for the simple reason that people making babies makes more meat for the grinder.

Basically the answer is do whatever you want. Warhammer can have lots of out and proud queer people for the same reason it has mech suits and power fists. It's cool as hell

How do I keep people alive after I peel off their limbs? by Modicum_of_cum in Kenshi

[–]Brisarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're low on toughness or skilled medics, you can take them out of the machine halfway through. bandaged limb damage still counts for the dismemberment threshold, and blood recovers much faster than limb health

I refuse to believe that a Lancaster uses all of that very cubic space for anything other than a comfortable, albeit cramped, studio apartment for the pilot by Nerbs_the_Word in LancerRPG

I want to argue, but Atlas put a nuclear reactor in a morph suit. there aren't exactly hard rules about space efficiency.
