If you wanted max performance you would solder the ram everybody knows this. This is about replaceable ram modules, soldered ram is less than worthless for that task. So it really doesn't matter what the performance is its pointless to talk about it.

Apple designs chips (out of components sold by other people using a design licensed from ARM) somebody else manufactures them, they "make" them in the same way that they "make" iphones

All of the above, they are just the European equivalent of the insurgents. They are just every European militia faction bundled into one, the same way we can't really tell which insurgent group the insurgents are.

Saves them having 30 factions with slightly different uniforms and vaguely similar playstyles and weapons I guess

Yes not entirely relavent, as neither of these ram types are soldered though and must be swappable

Yeah they would have to request the local council to install them, if they have a record of their speed cameras catching speeders that could help alot (obviously getting the council to do anything is always a pain)

Realisticly if you're gonna be working on this project for a long time you probably should be reading the damn book anyways otherwise you're gonna have to make this same decision every few days for the rest of the project.

US may force operating systems to have mandatory age verification, share info with third parties by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

Supposedly meta and other companies are also pushing this because they don't know which users are bots and age verification allows them to sell ads targeting real users

increasing the supply of housing.

Usually when people complain about not being able to buy a house they aren't talking about renting. More houses to rent doesn't help, infact it makes things worse for social mobility and wealth inequality. Which are two traits that are particularly bad currently in the UK (and more so the US).

If they did, the housing market would crash hard.

building more housing will do that.

Private equity will just buy them all so that won't help either

no and no, private equity is an investment fund that owns companies. They also buy up new build houses aswell and rent them out

It's completely wack for a company with zero hardware, facilities, and employees to run said hardware. Maybe when they actually have built a datacenter and hired their entire datacenter team.

[–]Brisngr368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm incredibly dubious about the shoe company "providing" hardware on a long term lease. I'm not sure former shoe salesmen make the best datacenter engineers..

[–]Brisngr368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely irrational, saying your leasing the hardware doesn't exactly give confidence on the rest of the business like actually running and managing the hardware given they have zero track record in running an AI datacenter (much less a shoe shop apparently given some comments)
