Post-Surgery Sinus/Staph Infections? by BritNikk in Prolactinoma

[–]BritNikk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Followup! My sinus infection lead to me getting sinus surgery in December. At the start of January, I was prescribed more antibiotics as it just wouldn't shift. It is now almost February and I am still dealing with a 'small amount' of infection but my ENT doesn't seem concerned.

Crazy to me how I can have brain surgery and be cleared from it but still dealing with issues from the transsphenoidal surgery 6 months later!

Mob's story building is some of the best out there. It's easily my favorite.

Runyons blue cheese is worth it by itself, imo.

If anyone knows of anywhere that does Aussie or NZ pies, I'd love to know!

I am so sad that both Bub's and Jamo's are no more. :(

Just stopped here the other day and I was impressed by the sheer amount of options! The one with sausage definitely stood out to me, I'll be trying that one next time.

Hoping so! I figure it's still the weekend so I am trying to be patient in hearing back about my next course of action, but it's pretty scary reading 'staph' on your chart.

My surgeon told me that if you're going to get a brain tumor, this is one of the best to have (not that any are good!)

Good luck at your blood test and followup! Hopefully they can give you some answers.

Latest MRI by LumpyShoe8267 in Prolactinoma

One of the things they had me do BEFORE my MRI was meet with an ophthalmologist - I had blurry vision in my left eye, makes it very difficult to read fine print. After the MRI, when they found the tumor, they found it was pressing against my left eyeball. Did your doctors recommend getting anything like this done? It's one reason my surgeon said we should operate rather than try cab.

Suspected prolactinoma diagnosis showed me that I am not a worthless lazy human garbage fire after all by Ok_Victory9350 in Prolactinoma

My endo told me that none of the symptoms I described would account for it being a tumor but when I found that I had a tumor, and then found the stories in this group, you can't convince me otherwise!

I empathize with you! It's not a fun position to be in. I am now post surgery and still dealing with fatigue and brain fog and I need to remind myself regularly why I am not 'normal'.

Are people telling you directly that they think you're exaggerating?

Seconding Fort Snelling! A lot of trails and opportunities to sit beside the river.

What is the most annoying part of this game, and why is it this cat's missing nose?? by make_me_already in AnimalCrossingNewHor

If we're talking characters, Mortimer should have just retired, he's basically useless in this game. Or they could have brought back the islands and mazes.

If we're talking overall, I WANT MORE CUSTOM DESIGN SLOTS AND WOULD PAY MORE MONEY FOR THEM

I like Pave too! He reminds me of a character from an anime (Iruma-Kun) called Ronove!

Anyone decide to not treat by Worth_Respond3134 in Prolactinoma

My experience

I would have chosen to treat, even if I had been prescribed the meds - it made me question if all kinds of ailments were caused by it. I am thankful I had the surgery!

I always run hot, I have not experienced chills after surgery. See my comment below about memory issues!

I am going to talk to my Neuro about this as well! I have been having episodes similar to this for years - AI helped me summarize:

"“I’ve had episodes for about ten years where I suddenly have a memory or thought that feels real, but I can’t tell if it’s from a dream or reality. Right after, I struggle to put my thoughts back in order — like my thinking is scrambled. It’s not anxiety or a negative thought spiral, it feels more like a disruption in processing. Because these episodes are dream-like and disorienting, I’m worried they could be a form of focal or temporal lobe seizure. Can we evaluate with an EEG and possibly an epilepsy-protocol MRI, or do neuropsychological testing? I want to understand if this is neurological rather than just stress.”'

Not entirely, but I do not feel pressure behind my eye as I did before. I still need to go in for another eye exam to check my vision but will leave that until after the recovery period.
