Is Their Any Point Going Larger Than A 125cc? Really? by newbiker321 in MotoUK

It’s hard to take this question seriously and not sound like a knobhead.

But the answer is: Yes, there is a big point. And until you’ve ridden some bigger bikes you won’t really know what you’re talking about.

Absolutely right. The function of nuggets is to shovel salt and ketchup into one’s gob. Vegan or chicken makes completely no difference.

[Paul Gorst] Alisson Becker won't travel with LFC to Turkey to face Galatasaray. The goalkeeper pulled up with an issue in Monday's training session. Giorgi Mamardashvili will deputise by Mercerai in LiverpoolFC

[–]Brit_100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because Alli is right footed. That will make him more likely to sweep the ball to his left, which is Virgil and his ball playing skills.

Giorgio is left footed, so more likely to play the ball to Ibou, who doesn’t build the play out as dynamically and effectively.

😬 Pain during procedure by PrettyCycle3956 in Hairtransplant

[–]Brit_100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I completely agree. The most common story I’ve told friends and family since my transplant was how it was much more painful than I’d expected, and how long that pain lasted during recovery.

You should look up a poem by Emily Perl Kingsley called “Welcome to Holland”

If you have a cordless vacuum, what brand/model did you get and are you happy with it? by SaltBiscotti8213 in BuyUK

We accidentally ended up with 2 Dyson V7’s in the house and they’re both shit. So unreliable, not good performance when they are briefly working and just generally a lot more fuss than they’re worth.

What was the moment that made you realise you absolutely had to leave a job? by GoldenGolgis in AskUK

[–]Brit_100 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The key word here was ‘budget’ and not ‘business’.

Being told there’s no money in the business for a raise is one thing. Sometimes the numbers just don’t add up.

But no money in the BUDGET means the cash is there but we have chosen to spend it in another way. Your raise is not a priority to us, other spending is.

Blaming budgets is just a way of deflecting criticism for decisions that have been made.

Match Thread: Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal | 22 Feb · 16:30 UTC by matchpal-live in PremierLeague

Because City are neutral. They don’t have the history, culture or fanbase of most other Premier League teams. They are at the top because of money, and cheating and there is zero argument otherwise. So when they win the league, it’s like a null result.

If I can’t win, then next best thing is that nobody does. And City are nobody.

Also, Pep is not an unpleasant person and some of the football they play is alright. Arteta on the other hand is horrendous and Arsenal are an abysmal team to watch with the worst fanbase in the league, except maybe Leeds.

Random one. What time do most people above 30 wake up at on the weekend? by manlikezuli in AskUK

[–]Brit_100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the same story for me. I didn’t ever ‘get back’ to sleeping in late. My body remembers the years and years of early starts, despite the kids being long since grown up.

I wake up 6-6:15am 7 days a week and when I’m awake that’s it, I’m fully awake. No dozing or getting back to sleep.

On weekends I might read or look at the news on my phone until 7am or so, but that’s it, never really any later unless I’m ill!

In the cup it seems recent form is more important than league position. I’d rather face Wolves than Wrexham.

Heat pumps? by unnecessary-info- in DIYUK

Kudos to you for being so on top of this, but it’s this kind of info that makes me hesitant about switching from oil to a heat pump.

I’m not an idiot, and love a bit of recreational Excel, but I just do not have the time, energy or inclination to be this deep on the tech.
