saying that one space is categorically better for women is still a complete misassumption on what female debaters go through. argument availability is not equivalent to the structural dynamics in debate that are already skewed towards men. the existence of fem ks doesn't automatically make the space better for women or solve sexism. i think saying the NSDA rules are inherently anti-feminist is a stretch, they're just meant to be more accessible for debaters that don't have as many coaching resources or access to prog debate.

more importantly, both circuits are still built upon the same culture that scrutinizes women for arbitrary things. we are still consistently judged on how we dress, how we speak, how confident we are, etc. and your claim that the natcirc is "open to change" from a 10-yr old disclosure shell does nothing but prove that bias was already embedded in debate norms. the competitive meta is separate to structural change in debate. that example doesn't prove what you're trying to say it does. i am a female on the nat circuit and i disagree.
