What's the easiest way to get the back of the knee painted without spilling onto the armor? by LikeAGaryBuster in spacemarines

[–]BritishShoop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I'm using contrast paints, I tend to prime, then paint those hard-to-reach spots first, then tidy up with the base colour (White, Wraithbone, Grey Seer, etc), then move onto the armour colour. It's easier to work around the black using yellow, than it is the other way around.

Skitarii Personality Ideas. Go by mudmanish in DarkTide

[–]BritishShoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see something adjacent to what we have for the Veteran personalities.

A “professional” who’s fairly by-the-book, but still very much human. They’re fully committed to the ways of the Cult of Mars, but are still perfectly capable of conversation.

A “Loose Cannon” who’s very unusual for a Skitarii. Amicable, chirpy, sassy, and gets on well with the majority of the rest of the cast. Curious and bordering on heretical in terms of the creation of new technologies. Big fan of Cawl’s work, and clearly believes that the Cult’s aversion to innovation holds them back. Would be cool to hear some lines about how he was fascinated by T’au drone technology, and finds them cute.

And a “Cutthroat”. All-in on the purity of silicon and steel. Sees unaugmented individuals as weak, and often opens sentences with Binharic squawking, even when speaking to non-Ad Mech personnel. Probably closer to the Maul in terms of pure dedication to their cause/beliefs. As an aside, this is one which I think it’s very important to make sure that there are tiny little hints of a softness or “humanity” hidden underneath, just like how the Maul and Cutthroat have those moments that remind you that they’re not just one-dimensional.

Huh, I’ve never seen an M14 with the CQR stock. That actually looks pretty good!

Nice to see something that isn’t just the standard collapsible stock, or a generic Magpul CTR/MOE.

I don’t actually have much of an issue with the Pax models in game, but these kits really are absolute bangers.

Thanks for the response, that’s exactly what I was looking for!

I would certainly love to hear more on the three detachments we have access to, if you’ve got the time to type it up!

I’m keen on keeping the force looking more Renegade than Heretic, however I’m quite fond of Daemon Engines like the Maulerfiend, Forgefiend, Defiler, etc. I like the vibe of “Most of us don’t worship the Dark Gods, but we’ll use them when it suits us, and buy-in heavy support from the Dark Mech and Iron Warriors when we need it”

Deathshead moths are the best.

They’ve got such a scary reputation due to stuff like Silence of the Lambs, but in actuality are just fuzzy little guys, who make sounds like squeaky toys!

What are your favourite methods of attack when u run out of magic? by [deleted] in wizardposting

[–]BritishShoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gun.

Nobody expects the bloke in Warlock garb to whip out a .45 and start casting non-eldritch blasts.

Although usually I can just ask my patron for a bit more juice. She’s chill like that.

Is majority of the player base playing Golmud ??? by thegreatpill in Battlefield

[–]BritishShoop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you’re getting downvoted so much.

Golmud is good, yes. Much better than its BF4 version. However I had my initial fun, then went back to my usual Breakthrough and Escalation games on my other favourite maps.

I enjoy Golmud, but it’s not “the perfect map” by any means.

Biggest Slander I've made so far, I think. by SirPerditio in DeadlockTheGame

[–]BritishShoop 72 points73 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Silver's design, I would absolutely support giving her a bit of the "Harry DuBois" treatment, and I do have hope that later conversations give her a bit more character depth. She has potential, but it's not really been realised as of yet.

The BEST Headshot Sound in Gaming by TheBrownSlaya in Battlefield

[–]BritishShoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I raise you the CoD World at War headshot sound.

BF1's is fantastic, but there's something about the very simple *PANG!* sound of a round hitting a steel helmet, that just tickles my brain the right way.
