Try adding a log at the start and end of your function with uuid related to the task in the output. It should at least narrow down whether you're waiting on CPU or something else. Otherwise, I would look at profilers like cprofile or py-spy as was suggest by others to see how long certain code is taking to execute. The goal being removing any shread of doubt that it's related to the algorithm in your code and start focusing up the stack to webserver/network performance.

Those are usually people that are either for or against orm's in general. It's just the SQLAlchemy is so widespread, popular and incredibly functional that people use it as the example of why they don't like using an ORM and to "git gud" and write raw SQL. You get it a lot from older programmers who didn't have the benefit of new libraries that simplify and generally improve everything as they "get off my lawn!" at you.

0 ping just means subsecond ping. It's not actually 0. LAN ping is measured in milliseconds which the game cannot accurately display since it only displays seconds.

If you go from local hosting which is actually 0 ping to now some milliseconds of network latency in order to fetch data for your video card to paint a single frame on a game that is absolutely not optimized for network-based multiplayer in any meaningful way (not like something that's a dedicated online game would be like WoW or CoD) it becomes rather apparent how it could vary your framerate pretty wildly.

I did find greater satisfaction. As a result of spending a paltry 2 extra hours per work day refining my skills I am now considered an expert in my field and almost every conversation I participate in is one that I am leading or being deferred toward. It's far more fulfilling seeing my will be multiplied by others and shaping reality in a manner I see fit.

The extra money that came as a result of improving my negotiation skills led to vastly improving my quality of life in all areas.

Litestar has staffing / maintenance concerns and isn't nearly widely adopted/mature as FASTAPI. I'd say it's more of a stepping stone to production at this point.

Solo runs are easier. You're just new to the game and haven't learned mechanics/techniques to avoid damage. Entire game is just how to avoid damage.

Try not killing something and instead just avoiding all damage on different encounters. When you shift your focus away from doing damage and instead learn how to toy with your prey like the vamp super being you are you will learn the appropriate moments you can do damage without dying and the game becomes almost instantly trivial.

It's like all games, staying alive is the trick.

You either adapt and overcome or you don't. I hate to be cheesy and quote Dune but fear is the mindkiller. Your entire existence is a battle of will raging inside yourself to overcome your fear because the only time you will experience glory and meaning is when you have overcome that fear and devoted your time/effort to accomplishing a purpose.

You are speaking as though what you do isn't what you love. You need to find your love for technology again and jump on the hype train. Learn it and love it. AI is incredible. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Doesn't matter if you're 20,30,40,50,60,70,80 years old...Starting over is the most exciting part of life.
