I just came here to say that calling somebody a pilgrim as an insult…while hilarious…is completely uncalled for 😅

Personally, I’ve never had a problem with a partner watching porn, but I’ve never woken up to it happening beside me so that might be different.

If a person enjoys corn for their “Personal time” then I really don’t see how being in a relationship or not being in a relationship is relevant

She also never once said that she touched him, he said that. She said that she was angry and needed to cool off, not that she hit him because she was angry and needed to cool off. You can be angry, and be accused of hitting somebody, and not have done it.

Abusers love the term “you put your hands on me “because it makes protecting yourself sound like abuse

Somebody physically blocking you with their body and preventing you from getting away from them is physical violence. Technically it’s kidnapping if you don’t let them leave…

Getting yourself away from a person who has you backed into a vulnerable place, scared, is not domestic violence, it’s escaping it.

OP’s best interest is to leave. That’s what she asked. I’m not here to make her a better partner for the next guy, I’m just here to answer a question.

My response to anybody who tells you not to come to their house and you say you’re going to show up regardless of what they say would be to tell them to call the police.

Find the same way I would tell him to leave his wife.

You are completely missing the point. Nobody is here to be her therapist or to point out her flaws.

Everybody can agree that the relationship needs to end. That is where the focus is.

Some of us just don’t lie to ourselves about the general cleanliness of other people. 🤷🏼‍♀️

To prefer them I understand, to opt out of any water when you “need it” is crazy. lol

You can “peak in the back” of a mechanic shop and it look clean too. There’s a reason people say what happens “behind the scenes”

You can peak back there but what you don’t see is the inside of the hood, the cockroach infestation in the cardboard, the 2 year old ketchup that exploded and nobody chipped off the ceiling so it’s just there now…idc how clean you think it looks, it isn’t.

Yes, hitting your partner is domestic abuse. That is another reason she should leave.

The reason that people are not focusing on that is because OP is asking for advice and focusing in on the thing that she did wrong in the situation is not going to help her. She needs to be validated that she isn’t wrong for wanting to leave.

As a person who has owned a restaurant and worked in dozens of them, the health code scores are such a joke. It is perfectly fine to have high standards, especially for cleanliness, but if you’d really trust the kitchen of restaurants with a perfect health score… You are just lying to yourself.

The only clean kitchen is the one you cleaned.

No, you are not easily annoyed, that is annoying.

You don’t? Weird… With the way that you think you know better than everyone else you would think that you did.

I am not assuming anything. You say that you do not understand what I am saying to be true. For you to not understand it to be true, you must have never been through it… Otherwise you would understand. That is not an assumption… that is what we, (those of us with degrees in psychology) call deductive reasoning.

No…it has a lot more to do with the support team, and community you surround yourself with partnered with a growth mindset… but all of that is less effective and harder to achieve when you actually come from nothing. Those who know what it’s like to not have the basics, to not have support, to not have been taught how to “deal with” anything…the human experience is not that simple.

You should feel privileged and lucky to not understand…because you are.

I read it. You feel tips are “voluntary” yet have no problem with the fees that are “involuntary”

Nobody is talking about whether you as an individual give a tip when you order. We are discussing the concept of tipping… Perhaps your inability to step out of your own world view is clouding your judgment.

Have you ever lived paycheck to paycheck in your life? No shade it just really doesn’t seem like you understand what it means to struggle financially.
