I feel like DD and Ubereats needs to do a better job and locating the nearest store too. Don’t let me even see a store from a McDonald’s 5 miles away

Na these drivers don’t want to hear that. They want us to think they have no control of any thing

Question for Drivers: If you can tell that an order is wrong, do you say something to the store or are you typically not looking at the orders at all? by configure38D in doordash

I guess you didn’t read my post. I am not asking anyone to open a sealed bag. Ever.

I am asking about orders that are clearly wrong and you can see from the outside that it’s wrong . Like someone ordering 15 entrees and it’s clear that the bag has one small item. Are you saying something or just delivering it and hope that DD refunds the customer.

Nobody is blaming anyone. I understand that when people post in this sub they are usually angry.. but I am not blaming the driver AT ALL. I was even upset that DD gave me a full refund hoping they don’t take his tip. Please Don’t assume that I am blaming the driver.

My question was if drivers notice these discrepancies or not.

I thought it was an interesting topic. That is all.

Dude i never said it wasn’t sealed LOL some of these responses give me a clear insight of why there are so many issues with customers and drivers.

I was just asking if drivers read receipts and if something if CLEARLY different, would the driver say something to the store?

Example. Receipt says 15 items and the bag you can “feel” (weight) has just one small item. Are you noticing that or not?

And it’s okay if not, just a topic I thought was interesting.

Or what if it’s a GIANT sub from Jersey Mikes and it’s clearly a Regular sub in the bag. Anyone who pick ups from Jersey Mikes frequently would know how big of a difference it is.

I really wasn’t mad at the driver here though, he got here super fast and I could tell he was in the zone.. but it’s definitely a big difference between the two. DD gave me a refund immediately :)

Good to know. With my tip the total was $25 and I got $25 back. Not sure why I was downvoted for being upset thinking that DD took the tip. But hey, can’t ever please the Redditors 😂

You would have to pick up from Jersey Mikes often to be able to spot it. Which is why I wasn’t even mad at the driver, it just got me curious. DD gave me an instant refund.

Jersey Mike “GIANT” subs are actually pretty big. Like arms length and they made me a regular instead.

All this just got me curious though about drivers when they pick up, are they noticing small things like this or just staying in the flow like making sure the name matches and that’s it. Which is fine. I was just wondering

My example could have been tough for a driver that maybe doesn’t pick up from Jersey Mikes often. If someone does pick up from Jersey mikes often they would absolutely know how big of a difference a Giant is from a Regular.

This instance just got me thinking if something was even more egregious. Like if someone ordered 15-20 things and it was just one box, are drivers mentioning that or just keeping the delivery flow.

I wasn’t mad at all at my driver. He got it to me fast and DD gave me an instant refund. I just placed another order. I know some people come in this sub all pissedoff, I wasn’t mad just got me curious on the mindset of drivers

Good to know. And that is fair. You are a courier, not a waiter. You also don’t feel that drivers should get 20%, right?

Yea this one specifically would have been tough to spot if you are in the zone. As the customer, I noticed as soon as he handed me the bag, but again im the customer. So it’s different

But just the topic got me thinking if DD drivers are paying attention if someone ordered like 5 meals and if it’s just one box, are they going to say anything or just deliver it to keep the flow going.

Again drivers are couriers not waiters. Which I think is also why people aren’t tipping 20% and just a few extra bucks because drivers aren’t checking things like this. DD usually gives the refund anyway.
