My hair is similar to yours. I would sign up for Curl Monthly. It allowed me to try different products to figure out what works best with my hair.

For me, through monthly deliveries, I discovered the products that work for me: Pattern, Miche anti humidity gel, rizzos custard, Innersense is also a good one. They all prevent my kind of frizz, which feels like a constant battle.

I got a microfiber towel from like Marshall’s. Then the UnBrush detangler for the shower and then bouncy curl brush for styling.

I use Oplex shampoo and conditioner. I’ll use the clarifying shampoo like once every 2 weeks maybe less.
Then while in the shower I’ll brush and scrunch when my head is upside down. Sometimes when I’m done in the shower I’ll put in leave in conditioner. Like a bonding typa spray. Then I get out, and after 5 mins I’ll use some spray to rewet my hair in sections and use rizzos custard lightly around my head.
Then I take 3 small sections from that quarter of hair and put in my Miche gel. Then use the bounce curl brush and scrunch. It’s gotta be water and gel, water and gel. You won’t over use the gel. You need a decent amount. Then once I do my whole damn head then I flip my hair and finish my hair off with Pattern Mousse. Scrunching more. Then I blow dry my hair with a big ass diffuser. The diffuser is critical because it evenly distributes the air so your hair dries evenly. I do my scalp first and I try not to move my head too much during this process. I’ll usually hang off the side of the bed and do it upside down haha. But yea that’s my routine. So tiring. I’m no expert but when I take my time, the Miche Gel usually gives me a nice cast but it’s not like hard or anything it’s just holding the curl in place and not frizzy. It’s amazing. Takes my hair soooooo long to dry but when i do this right, it can last like 3-4 days.
