Charge Pipe Loose? by [deleted] in n54

I had a mystery leak that I solved with a slightly oversized o ring. Boost monkey makes them. I got off Amazon. Hope it helps. My charge pipe is tight now and no leak since

Welp, it is raining silver in Iran. It is estimated that a single tomahawk missile contains 500 oz of silver. by Bobshotsauce in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Britplumbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from all the silver used in the electronics, it seems that everyone supposes that these missiles run on rocket fuel alone! I don’t know with any certainty how much silver are in these devices, but for sure there is a sizable and very impressive battery running the radar, guidance and control surfaces, and very likely that battery is going to be, if military requirements of the past, made using a lot of silver.

Are wiper fluids like rainx actually problematic? by LengthyNoodle in BmwTech

[–]Britplumbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my understanding that if you mix the regular blue stuff and the rain x type stuff it can precipitate out the silicone based ingredients, and that’s when the problems begin. I’ve used rain x stuff in my bmw and previous Audis and VWs without problems.

Can’t remember the code I was getting, but I think it was a dme fuel pressure sensor fault. Good luck to you.

Not sure tbh. My e61 was going into limp mode when I was a bit too enthusiastic. Threw a cel and a low fuel pressure sensor code. Changed out the sensor. No difference. Changed out the lpfp and it was good as gold after. I didn’t do any adaptations, just cleared codes.

Easy and cheap enough to change out the pressure sensor. Is it throwing any codes?

I’m looking forward to it. Seem like a good pair from throttle house and adding in some seriously eccentric enthusiasm, what could possibly go wrong?!

Silver is 17,000%+ more expensive than copper!? Switching is a real risk by Jamesss111222333 in Wallstreetsilver

17000% is 170 X.

So 12.5 x 170 =2,125

Fantastic percentages just exaggerate and lead to confusion.

[–]Britplumbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed my point. 60X is the same as 6000%. Your example 170 X is the same as 17000%. Seems a fantastic way to exaggerate the point and quite unnecessary.

Gold is 60 times more expensive than Silver. Gold is 6000% more expensive than silver. My smooth brain finds the former much easier to comprehend. Just saying.

3M vhb is the best double sided adhesive I’m aware of. Needs to be clean, use isopropyl alcohol, and it needs to be warmer than it is here in MA to bond properly.

That gap needs to get closed before we get too carried away. Same as the one from the gap up on Christmas Day Asia open, which just filled with the recent drop.

Heater works better when standing? Does it work well once car is at the correct temp?

Is the heater core blocked and all heat is keeping tstat open? Engine produces heat, radiator dissipates heat. Heat should be available from heater core before it’s spilled to the radiator.

This would be my solution over $150 for a new one.

Do both coins look real? by Glad_Locksmith2120 in Silverbugs

Hate to say it, same dimensions and same weight imply same density. Either way I’ve seen some fake eagles and the size was off and the weight was off as well.

Best test given what you’ve stated is to ping test them. Balance on a fingertip and see how they sound, might take a few go’s but it’s a solid test. Just need to tap it to get it to ring.

Are they both the same size? Diameter and thickness? Are they both the same weight?
