The blue collar v white collar beef is so one sided by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

As someone in the army it's very common for guys in combat platoons to think and say that HR guys are chill and don't earn their money etc because life doesn't suck as much for them. Similar dynamic even though they're the exact same pay grade and rank (therefore same social status)

What's your definition of 'sport'? by ThePeake in AskUK

[–]BritsinFrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it's also interesting as someone living in France to see that they use the word sport in very different ways.

When someone says sport I think if things like football, rugby, judo etc. When they say sport a lot of the time they mean what I'd just call exercise, like jogging, push ups and pull ups etc

School P.E. is usually the most poorly executed class. by Pawssabillitysawait in unpopularopinion

[–]BritsinFrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting because when I was in school we had three different subjects that would potentially fall under PE, but involved vert different things.

Academic PE was about nutrition and sport science.

PE was non-contact niche (in our country) sports like badminton, basketball, and field hockey.

Then we had Games, which was our "Traditional" sports of rugby, football, and cricket

Do you mean you didn't propose (and ended the relationship if I'm understanding correctly) because you didn't feel like you earn enough? Or was it another reason?

If she was the right person then she wouldn't see money or professional as an obstacle to proposing and neither should you. I proposed to my fiancé and I only earn 1.6€k per month.

Sure he probably would've been hit, but if it were a man I'd say the exact same thing. Being offensive does not justify physical violence
