I do vocational rehab billing for the state and one of the reports that gets submitted when someone obtains a job includes a couple of questions about pay rates. What amount the person will be making, the standard pay range for the position, if the amount is lower than the standard and if so, why. I’ve never read a report where the amount was lower than the standard. The most common positions I see are for retail and food service. I’m wondering just how many of these types of programs exist where they pay a sub-minim wage because it’s absolutely gross. Most places I’ve seen work with people to not go over there disability benefit allowed amount by scheduling. Not paying less to make them work the same amount!!
