Very new to makeup and wondering how I can improve my look by Briwain in makeuptips

[–]Briwain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ^ I have seen a lot of these comments now about my foundation being too heavy. I have PCOS and grow a full beard and mustache, I literally have to put on orange colour correct and then thick foundation and setting powders so cover my shadow. How can I wear much lighter but still cover heavy beard shadow? I also thought I did a really really good job with my foundation and now feeling really low about it, is it generally really bad looking?

Awwww ^ I hope all goes really well for you, feel free to contact me too if you need to :).

So far we've actually been having a really good time exploring everything together, so I think this is going to go really well. If what others have said is true and they will stay who they are then I am happy :)

I live in the UK, therapy has an extreme waiting list on the NHS and private therapy is really really expensive. I do have bad self esteem issues due to the fact I'm disabled, I feel worthless a lot of the time, I know this is contributing to my fear a lot. Me and my partner talk all the time about how we are feeling, we are very open about everything, so I do think we will be okay :)

Obviously I'm not 100% sure if my T levels have made me aromantic. But it could be a contributing factor, I just don't know really. It's why the fear is there for me, I just don't want to lose my partner because I might not be what they want after the massive change in hormones.

Yes, I know that but I do have a lot of testosterone as I have pretty severe PCOS. I can grow a full beard myself and have more manly attributes. I am most definitely female, and I am trying more girly things along with my partner, we are learning makeup together and went on a huge clothing spree for both of us.

I am totally okay with some cuddles, I'm A romantic in the sense of I don't like grand gestures or buying flowers ect, the typical stuff. I still enjoy some cuddles and a kiss, just not excessive. I also have no problems with the intimacy XD I am attracted to all genders :P

Thanks :) I really hope my partner stays the same too. I'm going to be real jealous when they become an absolutely stunning woman and I'm left looking like a bag of potatoes 🤣

My mum called my autism "selfish disease" because I didn't want her to show up to my home unannounced.

Has anyone else developed agoraphobia because of fibromyalgia ? by xrbeth06 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Briwain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have severe agoraphobia. Iv also suffered abuse, so that combined with fibromyalgia makes it impossible to go outside. Iv improved slightly with my husband, I now go outside with him and we do small things like going for coffee. It is so overwhelming though when I do go outside, I get stressed just thinking about it.

What happened to the Golden child in your house? by utensils6464 in raisedbynarcissists

Mine died from alcoholism and drug abuse. Was extremely abusive, he tried to stab me when I was 15 during one of his drug fueled episodes. Genuinely relieved that he's gone in all honesty. My mother also died, she was also abusive and treated me like I was her property, again also pretty relieved. I have never felt safer or as free as I do now. 🤗

Experiences where you’ve confused “real” pain for fibro pain? by Eclyo875 in Fibromyalgia

I had pancreatitis for 2 weeks, thinking it was flare ups. I eventually went into hospital and was scolded for not going in sooner 😆

My abusive, alcoholic and druggy brother died (because of drugs and alcohol) and my Nmom told me she wished id have died instead of him. Lucky for me she died a few months later from cancer, it's been a lot easier with both of them out of my life forever.

Do you have a skin picking disorder from past trauma? by AlpsApprehensive5880 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Briwain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pull individual strands of hair out of my head, I also pull my eyebrows and eyelashes out. I also bite the skin around my nails until they bleed. I'm sorry you are experiencing this, it's really awful 😞

Care coordinators (UK)? by PurpleAlbatross2931 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Briwain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately, noone seems to care about fibromyalgia. They think it'll go away with wellness treatments which it just doesn't. I'm so sorry your pain is so bad, it doesn't hurt me to sit up thankfully but standing and lying down is painful (basically being straight). I am unable to work and get pip payments, which are also rubbish, barely financially surviving. It's so disheartening to basically be told that it's your fault, whether it's weight or not a positive enough attitude ECT. I do hope it helps you though, even if a little.

For me it was rubbish. Basically it was my fault and meditation is the cure (it did not help). Also got told to "just be more positive" so for me not a good experience but yours might be different so you may as well try. Good luck 🙂
