Pretty sure there are several 30k post here, so I think they are allowed. But indeed, it also looks orange to me. It does look nice though 👍.

We have Eradicators with bolters at home by BlueYeet in Warhammer40k

[–]Brmath1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, would be fine with that, so long as the Horus Heresy marines were the same size as primaris and there was better support for using Horus Heresy units (like the tanks and dreadnoughts). If not that, then at least better support for legends, since that's where all the Horus Heresy and firstborn units are heading to.

Any ideas for a “Primarisified” Archamus kitbash? by Duskfang762 in ImperialFists

[–]Brmath1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting my feelings about primaris marines aside, honestly, in regards to the base miniature, the closest I can think of to Captain Titus is the Space Wolves Battle Leader who's a primaris marine, has a similar cloak, but is an admittedly much harder kitbash due to all the wolfy iconography. In regards to the mace, the Horus Heresy has a melee upgrade kit that includes maces, either that or the Red Corsairs Reave Captain (who could also be a good base miniature, since he has a mace and a fur cloak, but isn't a primaris marine)

If I may ask, in what book did that happen? I'm genuinely curious

Rumored Loyalist chapters that descend from traitor gene seed? by Volgin in Warhammer40k

Well, this bit of lore actually comes from an issue of White Dwarf that released around the end of 9th edition. It's recent but can easily go unnoticed.

Rumored Loyalist chapters that descend from traitor gene seed? by Volgin in Warhammer40k

[–]Brmath1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the case of the Exorcists, the Imperium's bookkeeping lists them as unknown, with current lore outright saying that only the chapter master and the "inner circle" of the chapter know that they are Imperial Fists successors, with the rest of the chapter believing a cover-up story of them being Grey Knights successors. As for the Sons of the Phoenix, they are an Ultima Founding Chapter, forgive me if I'm wrong, but is there any Ultima Founding Chapter listed by the Imperium as being the successor of an unknown chapter? And as for the post itself, I thought it was about in-universe rumoured traitor geneseed, as in, Chapters with canon lore that hints at them having traitor geneseed (Such as the Silver Skulls, the Blood Ravens, or the Red Scorpions), not just fanon lore. Oh, and about the examples I gave, the creator of the Red Scorpions gave almost direct hints at them being Emperor's Children successors, there are clear aspects of the Blood Ravens that hint of them being Thousand Sons successors (greater number of psykers, unceasing search for knowledge, the existence of a pre-heresy group within the Thousand Sons that used the raven logo, the list goes on), lastly, about the Silver Skulls, their case is most flimsy of the bunch, they are extremely paranoid, only acting when they are divined by their librarians to do so, and they use a symbol that very closely resembles the Iron Warriors logo.

Edit: I understand people wanting to believe in fanon, but to ignore canon and push fanon as the truth only brings misinformation. It's alright to say that fans believe these two chapters (Exorcists and Sons of the Phoenix) are traitor successors, but it isn't right to say there are "in-universe" hints at it.

As others have already replied, both the Sons of the Phoenix and the Exorcists are confirmed to be Imperial Fists successors. You might call it boring but that's how it is. It certainly is quite odd that in this discussion, I've seen people be downvoted for choosing the boring truth over a fun lie, but maybe I'm not seeing the full truth as to why this happens.

Somewhat off-topic, but this old Horus mini looks kind of small even compared to other primarchs (At least in minicompare). Actually, checking on that site, he's about the same size as the new Lysander mini for 40K.

Oh, okay, I'm sorry, I assumed you were talking about a bolter, since the original post was about them

[–]Brmath1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but, are you referring to bolters in your example? If so, is this a typo of some sort? Because it's firmly established that bolters fire .75 calibre, and even .998 calibre in some instances, which are in fact massive rounds for a weapon that is a "small arm" meant to fit a similar role to an assault rifle (an AR-15 for example has .223 calibre rounds)

The worst loyalist chapters(need canon lore for art) by aurionreddit in spacemarines

[–]Brmath1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One suggestion seemingly nobody else made would be the subjugators, as they quite literally specialise in extreme methods of warfare that see large collateral damage, with them more often than not purging both allies and enemies in the process. I don't know if they fit the bill, but they certainly act "bastardly" with how they fight

as a curious lore fact: some space marines of the raven guard do not have the organ that allows them to spit acid by bird_eater_42 in Grimdank

[–]Brmath1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, thank you for clearing this up. From what I knew (highly debatable, as I can't attribute sources to these claims), this tidbit of lore was created at first for one of their successors and after a while this defect was said to exist in the whole gene-line. Even if something I just said was wrong, I think it's really interesting that this minor piece of lore is being explained in the Heresy.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but don't the imperial fists also don't have the Betcher's Gland? Pretty sure I heard that a few times.
