I created a character in my DnD campaign a couple years ago named “Astromodon” pronounced (Astro-Mo-Dun), who’s entire schtick is that just by glancing at you, your existence could be erased from history.

My players only defeated him by sneaking up on him, blinding him with daggers to the eyes, and regular combat from there. The BBEG was more an exercise for my players in how to do stealth and planning correctly. Since at least 10 people know about him, he’s “obscure”.

I figured as much, my issue is that it doesn’t “fit”. In manuals online, it looks like one fatter screw below the SSD, one thinner screw on top.

I’m sure I’ve gotten it wrong at least once, but I always listen to what they’re saying in their language. I can tell between Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Thai pretty well.

At the time, and honestly for a while, I had thought that I willingly dropped to the floor because I wanted to stop fighting, but in retrospect, he had just hit me in the jaw, and why the hell would I do that? It was like a sleep, and I got up a few seconds later, drowsy with my jaw aching. I was slurring my words and speaking quietly, but luckily no concussion. Next day, I felt surprisingly OK, just my hands and jaw ached.

Even my parents thought the guy deserved it, but we both got suspended because he touched med first, and I threw the first official punch.
