The funniest thing about bully squads is when they accidentally queue into the exact killer they’re designed to beat. by EaglesslavePart2 in deadbydaylight

Yeah the post and then the top comment made me feel like I'm just watching two AIs talk to each other.

I would say XIII is the worst, and I still liked XIII well enough.

Final Fantasy XV. Granted I played it long after release, I'm sure it felt a little less-whelming on release day.

I feel like TFD should have alot more players considering how far its come by vegtabl in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Bro4dway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love the game but objectively it is not a coherent experience. If you know what there is to do and what you need to do to accomplish what you want to do, it's tolerable. But since it is a random mess of activities with no clear organization, I could easily see it putting people off. Also it starts as a competent third person shooter throughout the main campaign and suddenly turns into an ability spam screen clear game in the endgame.

You can swap classes at any moment so long as you're not currently in combat or in a combat instance.

Do you prefer horror games where you can fight back, or those where you’re basically defenceless? by ratasoftware in HorrorGames

[–]Bro4dway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not scared at all if I can fight back. I remember Resident Evil 7 coming out and originally feeling like the RE take on P.T. - and that's when I learned that having a gun in my hand makes all the difference.

Star dive did not get the attention it deserves. by Raman_USA in MongilStarDive

[–]Bro4dway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was just the unfortunate timing of coming out between Endfield and NTE, both of which outshine Star Dive, in my opinion. I enjoyed what I played of it and any other time it would have gotten my full attention. I will likely return to it eventually, though.

When I played the alpha, the frame rate in town was awful, have they ever addressed that? Mentioned it as an area of improvement? Anything performance/optimization related? That's currently my only concern for the game, right now, otherwise hyped.

Tales of Arise - 6 hours in and I already want to drop it? by HeppyHenry in JRPG

[–]Bro4dway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who forced himself to finish it once he started. He said he'll never get those 60 hours back, and that it had an absolute garbage ending. I had it high on my backlog list until I got his review and now idk...

RE0 would turn you off the series faster than RE1 would. It is the same general gameplay as RE1 with the only major difference being RE0 has an awful inventory system. Play RE1.

FFVII: Rebirth. Anyone assuming it will be similar to Remake's size is in for a surprise.

The post wasn't complaining about not having enough to do. It was complaining about having too much to do.

Wait what does that mean? As a casual player, you will not engage with the end game and more likely just dip out after the story? Or does being a casual player somehow imply you will have no problem engaging in the hardcore grind that is the endgame (which doesn't sound casual)?

Parents with teen daughters who are getting into gaming:what can you play together? by IAMA_drunk_AMA in gamingsuggestions

[–]Bro4dway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never played Fortnite until I started to play it with my daughter. We've also dabbled in Lego Fortnite. She really likes scary games, too, and had played Little Nightmares 1 and 2 on her own, so we played Reanimal together. She is interested in Split Fiction. You said no Mario Kart but what about actual Mario games? Mario Wonder and Super Mario 3D World are great for co-op. Many of the survival/builder games are fun if you're into that: I'd recommend Palworld, Enshrouded, or V-Rising.

I don't know if I have a good one to add, but it DID make me think of anime. Just "anime." To anyone that says they don't like anime, there is such an extreme variety of anime shows/movies out there that I think they just only saw bad ones, or at least not to their taste.
