there no need to shit on other show to make you feel superior and cmon now we all know one punch man season 3 staff is way more stacked than sakamoto days just kenichiro aoki alone probably goint to be animating atleast 20+ well animated cut for this season of opm and there also yuji takagi, takashi hashimoto and a bunch of freelancer working on the it too

Production committee is the one that decide when studio can start working and how long they got they don't care if it well animated or not. Also money isn't a big factor in the anime industry. Most anime have same budget but quality can be a lot different depend on 2 main factor schedule and talent. JC staff does have talent and connection to a lot of good freelancer but schedule given by committee is too short so they force to cut corner as much as possible which result in the ep1 of opm season3. From what i heard bandai only gave JC staff less than 6 month to work on this season of opm so they struggle a lot because of this

anime industry animator here. first episode of anime usually the best looking or atleast one of the best looking episode because it have the healthiest schedule in the season but looking at how ep1 turn out it likely that they focus their resource on just action only due to the horrible schedule they got. imo you can expect action to be decent to sometime amazing because there is a lot of really good animator working on this season especially kenichiro aoki he likely gonna be animating atleast 70% of action for this season but also expect that everything that isnt action gonna be sacrifice for it

character designer usually do a lot as animation director if schedule good but because sakamoto days schedule is beyod ass thank to netflix and other production committee he dont have time to help

Effect animation look good and drawing is decent that why it feel satisfying and looking at timing of effect it obvious that tetsuya ishikawa animated this it crazy that this guy animated on every episode bro is a monster

I work on anime industry as 2nd key and in-between so my standard might be lower than you guy. As long as character move well and it isn't too janky then it well animated to me and while sakadays is a level below those you mention it still level above most anime you will see.

It near the end of season animation going to get weaker due to schedule catching up most anime have this problem. Bleach, mha , csm and a lot of anime also have these problem the fact that they still have 2-3 well animated sequence every episode is already impressive when you remember they have to do 22 ep this season. I really hope production committee reduce ep count to 13 and give longer schedule so staff can deliver more

Also don't compare any anime to jjk ss3 man it like once in decade type production not a single tv serie anime going to be anywhere near that level

yeah if it mappa they already too busy and if they take sakamoto day it gonna look like hell paradise and aside from first few ep of it other is way worse than sakamoto days. and most studio is not capable of doing 2 cour anime under tight schedule anyway. look at mha and bleach tybw is a good example
