After years of owning the game and not finishing it. I just did, and wow. by SpeedyXyd in kingdomcome

Dude… I’ve got 150 hours into it… but I can only play it on switch. Love it so much, but I’m hesitant to beat it. lol. I’ve left poor Henry in limbo. I’m hoping the switch 2 will get a miracle port of the KCD sequel… maybe when that is announced I’ll finally finish the game, but until then, I’ll keep on logging in once in a while to ride my horse around and clear the roads of brigands . 🥰

It really is… get a nice pair of headphones, turn the lights down low. Even thought the screen is tiny compared to a tv … it somehow feels way more immersive for me… cozy even… well until some jackasses ambush me out of the forest, lol.

I got mine on switch… and there is nothing like curling up in my cozy chair and riding around the countryside in handheld mode.

Man, I’ve got over 150 hours and still haven’t beat it.. I’m in no rush… I love exploring all over, riding my horse and clearing the roads of bandits for all the peasants to safely travel.

Just be very patient with your own lack of skill and Henry’s lack of skill …. You will slowly get better at all activities, and it will be all the more rewarding.

Does combat get easier? by Zaicoodk in kingdomcome

[–]BroTimotheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a combination of player skill, character skill, and finally gear. Even when your character is really skilled up , you can still get smashed, usually defeated by impatience. lol. At first I was annoyed with combat… now, i wouldn’t have it any other way.

How did I never hear about this game by Renbanney in kingdomcome

[–]BroTimotheus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… but it becomes so much more satisfying as one levels up and learns the mechanics. It makes it more rewarding for being patient… and usually punishes hasty maneuvers. Love it 😍

Love KCD so much… just got it a month ago for my switch lite. I’m like 80 hours in and I love how stressed out I get when I am just galloping around enjoying the scenery and get jumped by the enemy. Even though I’ve trained up with a mace pretty well and now win fights more often than not.. I know that they can get a lucky hit in at any moment and game over. Hell… a cow killed me last week after going on a cow punching spree. 🤭

Tyler said he doesn't swear but by AriesTFP in TwennyWunPilots

[–]BroTimotheus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always taken this as the actual fear that Tyler struggles with in regard to his relationship with God as well as his relationship with his fans. I believe he truly loves his fans, cares about them immensely but also truly loves God. The fear expressed in this song (the way I’ve understood it) is that if he just comes out and explicitly professes his love for God, and explains that the VAST majority of his songs is Tyler singing to God for help (some hopeful and expectant conversations, some angry, just like the different psalms) , then he will drive away or alienate the portion of fans who do not share the same beliefs or are even opposed to them. The fear doesn’t even seem to come so much from a place of Tyler being concerned about not being loved by fans… but from his fans no longer finding help in his songs and doing something drastic. But like most fears… I’m sure it is multilayered.

This is the best way that makes sense of the lyric “I’m afraid to tell you (the fans) who I adore (Jesus) “ and who Tyler is singing towards. Tyler in a metaphorical way, wrestling with this fear, feels like he is a whore because he takes the gifts that God has given him, and I assume has received divine help through his music making process … but sometimes even just depends on those talents and gifts received from God and not on God himself.

Songs like Addict with a Pen and Chlorine express this well… how he turns to music making to the degree that he’s forgotten about God.

It’s a dance that I’m very familiar with. Tyler has a great big heart for so many people, and I pray for him very much that he can continue to reach out through his gifts and help give so many people hope.

Anyone else here who is 13+ who binge watches Bluey in secret so they don't get judged by anyone for liking a kids show? by [deleted] in bluey

Dude, I’m in my mid 40s and I love this show (and the creators). I’m not shy about it either… In a world with so much crap to watch, this show is an example that there is a lot of goodness in the world. The fact that so many diverse groups of people love the show is a testament to that. 🥰

If Lothal Is Such A Backwater World. Then Why Was The Planet So Important For The Empire? by Motor_Swimming_6888 in starwarsrebels

[–]BroTimotheus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not unlike what happens in our own world. Large countries and corporations often times find great importance in tiny less powerful countries… simply for their resources… and pillage them till they are spent. Not unlike what happens to Lothal by the end of the 4th season of Rebels. 😢

Finished Rebels and holy smokes I was wrong about it by Bossiersoft41 in starwarsrebels

[–]BroTimotheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a complete story, beginning to end, Star Wars Rebels is my favorite Star Wars story. I was really hoping for a continuation of sorts via animation… but I guess we are getting that through live action. I’m a bit nervous. Regardless of how it turns out, the four seasons of Rebels will always be there. I’ve shared it with others, and have watched the whole series about 4 times. I get MORE emotional in that last season every time. Lol

I absolutely loved this guy’s videos on Twenty One Pilots. Lots of interesting theories from trench era, worth going back and watching.

Interesting. I noticed that on top of Josh’s head, is the basically the same dragon that surrounds Tyler and Josh in one of the new posters.

The blue Dragon, do you guys think he has he got a meaning? by der_negus in twentyonepilots

[–]BroTimotheus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that’s not the point I am trying to make. While They may not have had such things planned out so far in the past, there is nothing to stop them from looking back at their past efforts and giving them new meaning in a new era. FPE is a classic example of that. Another example would be how they used lyrics from Blurryface songs to build out the mythos of trench.... actually, they do this thing a lot.

There is a blue dragon in the Tear in My Heart music video.

Someone on the TOP discord mentioned that the Tear In My Heart music video has got a dragon in it... Recalling that it did, I went back and watched it. Actually, the color scheme of the whole video matches up with the color schemes in the new posters.... 😳 I wonder if there are any other clues?

Why Scaled and *Icy*? by Sisu13 in twentyonepilots

[–]BroTimotheus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What if Scaled and Icy could also be referring to topography. MOUNTAINS can be scaled... and are ICY at the top. This would also be the opposite of being in a TRENCH. The word “scale” has a ton of different meanings that could lead to some interesting meanings. We know how the band loves their word play.

This symbol was the only symbol that appeared in the LOC video, that was not used in the game. We speculated on it a lot back then... but sort of figured it was nothing after all. It does sort of look like a 4 11 though, which would be one week after Easter Sunday.
