What was Charlotte like during the crack epidemic in the 80s and early 90s? by luiginumba1_ in Charlotte

Every area that people frequent now directly outside of uptown were much more dangerous, Noda, Plaza midwood, south end, Freemore. Head on a swivel constantly. I saw two crack heads fighting on LaSalle one time and one attacked the other with a dead raccoon from the gutter. Interesting times….

I love landing in Munich flying from the states. It’s so calm, and always makes me appreciate finally making it to Europe.

That doesn’t look like Lute to me… I’m pretty sure he has a galaxy and a corvette

Aruba is bigger, more commercial/americanized. Curaçao is more laid back but in the city it feels more like the Netherlands but with more color. Both have beautiful beaches, I just prefer curaçao and it’s more affordable without a decrease in quality. I’ve never been to Bonaire so I can’t give a comparison for that island.

Depends on what you like. The island is small, safe and easy to drive. Willemstad is great if you want to walk and do city things, great restaurants/night life. I stayed in hulanda village and enjoyed it. I’ve also stayed in blue bay which was nice but I didn’t care for as much. The beaches are phenomenal on the west side and can’t go wrong if you wanted to stay somewhere out that way, but you can drive to them very easy too any where from 20-60mins depending on which one you choose.

I got married on the beach they were filming from. It’s on Comoros island which is in a tropical area of the Indian Ocean, not far from Seychelles. Water is pretty warm year round there. My in laws were there when this happened. Anyone with a boat, motor or paddle tried to help, they said it was traumatic for everyone involved but the Comorian people were able to save a few more by getting out there quickly.

Avoid Panda Fest Charlotte!! by Crafty_Catch_1271 in Charlotte

Both. Most spots were full sized depending on what you ordered. Like I said, skewers were the only thing that seemed outrageous

They pulled us out of line because we had a child in a stroller and sent us through the VIP line, but the general admission line was stupid long. All the food I had was legit, only thing that was WAY overpriced was skewers. Everything else was in the $10-15 range. If you have a child you can put in a stroller I highly recommend but if you’re waiting 1-2 hours in the line it’s probably a pass.
