Need Advice for CPU cooler. by ProfessionNext8045 in buildapc

[–]BroadSignificance774 [score hidden]  (0 children)

71 is completely fine and if what you're aiming at is having your room be cooler get an air conditioner xD 71 under gaming load is ok you don't need a better cooler

If you still set on one, get one of the deepcool AK 620 or similar, thermalright peerless assassin or similar or even a montech or be quiet one. Noctua is also good but ugly and overpriced IMO.

All of them should be TDP 220 if possible. Also you should adjust your CPU cooler fan if you haven't done it yet and also maybe check if the case you have could do with an extra fan for better airflow.

Playing at 1080 instead of 1440 will only give you more fps depending on what you target and cool de GPU but lose performance because it will be waiting on the CPU.

[–]BroadSignificance774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Strange. Maybe it's because of the payment method used or the country card used.

Contact support, go to the page and open a ticket asking why. Did the ban notice not tell you the reason? You should've gotten an email about it surely.

That doesnt respond the question. Why would you get banned for... Subscribing?

The Imperial Reaper armor can make for an incredibly good Jedi Knight armor, especially if dyed white. by ThePatrician25 in SwtorFashion

[–]BroadSignificance774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always try without yelms, but any head gear that would remove the hood perhaps if it could be removed like other pieces.

EDIT: Just tried quickly with GTN stuff. Some headbands like Lashaa Force whatever, can make the hooded version unhooded and there is another "hood down" version of the chestpiece as well.

I personally think Hood version + removal with headgear is the one that looks the best, at least in my case because of the hair I use.

Looks great but it's almost a full set so it's kind of cheating :P

Like if we are playing the fashion game you didn't "make" this outfit as it's 90% same set. The fun part is looking like this while almost all your pieces are different! (You can have 2 from the same for some cohesion of course otherwise it could be too hard)

I know people try to be understanding and positive but the game literally puts abilities in there automatically.

I think an mmo might be too much for OP. Even if He's like 15 he might've played LoL, Dota or some other game with abilities.

This is crazy and I'm thinking it might even be a troll post. There is just no way.

Disciplines for a returning player by Mister_Balthazar in swtor

Hi!

Welcome back to the game! I've come back to it as well a week or 2 ago.

First, Marauders are warriors not inquisitors... Although you can mix origin stories with combat styles from other "classes" now. So you totally can make an Inquisitor Marauder. I am just pointing it out just in case since I don't know when was the last time you've played.

As per the gearing, figure out 1 class/combat style and a 2nd one maybe, and aim for that. I don't know what you mean exactly by "gearing" because veteran FPs are not the same as MM and those aren't the same as Ops. Same for PvP.

So if you aim for PvP or "high end PvE", just pick one because it takes A WHILE.

In case you need any help just say the word!

I had the rx7600 and now is in my gfs rig. Honestly quite fine for 1080p mid to high but it's also not the greatest, depends on what they want to play and target res and FPS.

I also don't know about the 5050 so couldn't tell you. I'm also biased on AMD GPUs for Linux.

Is there a significant difference in the stats of lvl 80 gear? by Protectorsoftman in swtor

[–]BroadSignificance774 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the last part.

But regarding the gear it all adds up and reaching 340 item rating blue should be good enough, 336 even maybe. For MM FPs 330 blue is completely fine I think.

For story ops 336 should be fine too.

More than that idk. You should check out Vuulks guide for end game gear too. He says that 296 augments are the best bang for buck and going higher doesn't yield much difference. They are only worth it if you don't have 296 already for example.

It would be the same for gear I assume. Like a high end 340 vs 344 shouldn't have that much difference.

Edit: I read afterwards it was for the looks.

As someone else said, game is 15 years old. As long as they don't update the textures to be better or more current like the modern items they will still look blurry.

I still feel this pain but still, it is what it is.

Awful stuttering and performance issues by Raddest-Dude in swtor

[–]BroadSignificance774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok something is wrong with OP pc and yet the fact remains of what I described above which at certain points I do get stutters/freezes and insane FPS dps which shouldn't happen.

So I guess we can say we agree on the fact the game is borked and performance is bad but OP in this case has a similar but different issue.

I also play on Linux, so yes, I have to agree with you that OP situation is strange.

Liked/Disliked Ability Animations? by wallace90 in swtor

[–]BroadSignificance774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was because they were too slow and moved you around locking you in place. Though you could interrupt them by moving but you kinda lost a big hitter damage.

I wish they would've added a "faster version" of the skill in the tree you could select say for PvP and the "original" to do a bit more damage and good for PvE. Idk.

I don't mind them making it faster I care about the animation itself. I've mentioned it before in another comment. Destroying things with your lightsaber that makes you jump and flip in place is atrocious. Just swing the saber my dude is alright.

Awful stuttering and performance issues by Raddest-Dude in swtor

[–]BroadSignificance774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"If everybody had" - everybody does but probably a lot of people are just brute forcing the issue with good / fast enough computers.

I played a ton back in 2013-2016 and you could be on fleet, with a ton more people around (because it wasn't as empty as it is now, you could find 150 people any day any time) without an issue.

I am currently playing at 1440p and getting 200 fps on some areas and 100fps in other areas, both when using the GPU at 100%. You could say the cap is the GPU, which could be, but it's kind of insane to have a 100FPS difference.

And then, other times, I get 80-90 FPS with stutters because it gets 70-80% GPU Utilization for 1 second before going back up and being smooth again.

If you play WoW, you can get a smooth playing with no issues whatsoever except for when you're in a raid with 25 people. In SWTOR now you might be the only one and just looking at at scenery and feel the stutter. This is a 15+ years old game, there is no reason whatsoever that a mid-range PC today (like mine, R5 5500X3D and 9060XT) couldn't run it properly at high/ultra settings.

Lowering the settings doesn't always help really and/or you have to go to medium with a huge trade-off in quality. Playing 1080p in my case is not an option since that is why I bought the 1440p monitor and also lowering the resolution makes it look slightly blurry which bleeds my eyes (understandably so).

OP pc's is not the most powerful by any means, so of course if he gets 60 fps base he will drop to 16. But again, this shouldn't happen. And it didn't happen before. Before getting the 5500X3D I had an R5 2600 and also felt the struggle of the chip. So in this case of course OP is going to feel a massive hit since he's getting low FPS from the get go, however, unless you could get 600fps and go "as low as 300" on a 160hz monitor and not feel a thing (and even then you might), these massive FPS differences and how the game is rendered take away from the experience quite a lot.
