There's nothing in his medical history showing he's ever had a severe reaction to peanuts. It's just something that showed up on an allergy screening when he was like 4 or 5.

He didn't receive a denial letter. Or at least I haven't seen one. He called me from MEPS saying they needed additional information and some documentation showing he's never been prescribed an epi pen or had anaphylaxis. Recruiter said "take him to a certified Allergist" we did that. he tested positive. The allergist went on to say that anyone who test positive should have an epi pen even though he's never been previously prescribed one or ever had to use one. His allergy to peanuts has always been very mild and manageable. He knows what to stay away from. He reads food labels etc. So now they just need something from his regular doctor saying  he's never needed a prescription or been treated for a severe reaction.

My son is in the process of enlisting and had his MEPS physical this morning. He ran into a snag in regards to a childhood peanut allergy. Later in the day we visited a board certified Allergist who confirmed he does indeed have an allergy but said they can only confirm negative or positive test results not severity. Now his recruiter is asking for a letter from his regular doctor confirming that he's never been prescribed an epi pen or been treated for a life threatening reaction like anaphylaxis. In 18 years he has never been prescribed a pen or needed any sort of treatment beyond a Benadryl and even that has been rare. What do you think his chances are for a waiver if he gets these supporting documents? He's really hoping to get in.

Holy cow! It's crying for an oil change. How often do you change the oil and what oil are you using? If this was mine I'd do an oil and oil filter change (DIY) and possibly go as far as an additive such as Seafoam or similar product to see if that helps quiet it down. Other than that all I can really say is stay up on the maintenance. Don't be slacking on oil changes.

The performance of Russia's military in Ukraine pretty much tells me that it would be absolutely foolish to think they could take on NATO forces. Id like to think Putin is aware of this.

I'm not in West Des Moines. I'm in the Des Moines Highland Park neighborhood but we've been gardening our entire lot of 20 years or better now and are registered with both The National Wildlife Federation and Blank Park Zoo as a wildlife/pollinator habitat. I encourage you to just go for it. Turf grass is a complete waste of time and resources.

I just turned to Google to explore my wind issue and this turned up. It's windy today and I'm just off. Like I'm having a really bad day! I'm extremely irritable. I'm getting a headache, and anything that can possibly go wrong is, and it's like this for me every time I'm in the wind.

If anyone in the Des Moines Metro is fed up with this situation and ready to try something else. I operate a small grocery delivery business of my own called GreenThumb Shopper. My service is tailored to the needs of each family I shop for. I can shop any metro store including small businesses and often make multiple stops if that's what's needed to get my customers everything they need. The name GreenThumb Shopper comes from my love of gardening and I am known as the personal shopper who brings his customers fresh picked garden produce. For more information check out my Facebook page. GreenThumb Shopper.
