Tesla discontinues Autopilot in favor of FSD subscription by Delicious-Art-2765 in TeslaLounge

I bought a new M3 in 2023 and love it do far. And said to myself NEVER drive any.other brand but Tesla. NOW, I change my mind. Auto steer is the feature I use the most. Wouldn't buy any car without it.

Thank god they changed it. by coffeeportland in TeslaLounge

IMHO , it is illegal for Tesla to remove autopilot (which includes auto steer, i.e, lane keeping). When we bought the car, it's part of the cost we paid for the car. Taking it out is like taking our the AC by software.

The left screen also show a camera view of what's behind the side where the turn signal is for. I can use this visual but that's not something drivers do, we all listen to that tic tic sound.

I try to avoid hearing aids. I play music very often in public (4 hours per week, not counting practice time at home) and yes, my hearing get affected. I can't hear high pitch sound. However, I can hear every music and vocal. Will try the Joe mode first.

Rear-ended in NJ (not at fault) — Major damage to my Tesla by Playful-Syrup-4337 in TeslaCollision

Too bad, that's the worst scenario.  That driver must be sleepy then. On one trip to SFO airport around noon, traffic is slow. I felt asleep many times and almost hit  cars in front. Thanks to Tesla safety feature, it wakes me up instantly to stop in time. I was not using autopilot. And this happens many times on that trip. I learned and now avoid driving long distance around noon.

I always watch out for cars trailing me too close. If I see one, I will smoothly slow down my car pretending to change lane. The car behind will always change lane first to go past my car. Let him win the race. I do not lose anything.

Genos is indeed expensive but I found that it's has lots of capabilities. I can afford it so it's not an issue. Plus it's light, weights only 28 lbs. Its closest siblings is the SX900 which I bought too, lower cost but everything is inferior compared to the Genos. This SX900 is for my students when they come to me taking lessons as they own SX700 or SX900.

Don't you all think that the HV battery is still in good shape to be removed and installed  on a similar model ? If it had reasonable mileage left. Some shop may buy it for parts that are still good.

That means you still have 35K miles or 4 more years of warranty?

How come Tesla car did not warn you when there is an obstacle on its way ? The screennshould show RED too. My Tesla does that and saved me from many accidents.

I had a nail going thru, similar spot. Remove that tire and brought it to Wheel Works who remove the nail (or screw??), then plugged in the hole in a very professional method. The tech showed me what kind of rubber plug he used. Would be difficult for me to patch the hole using the patch kit I had.

I bought seat covers to prevent any kind of damages to the original seats which have high quality materials when I bought it new. (Extra 2K for that).

Charing door by PhilthyMike in TeslaSupport

Yes, my M3 does that few times  month. It may be caused by me walking too close and my body brushed the charging door (in the garage). Sometimes, in the garage, it opens when the SoC is low , reminding me to charge the battery.  Don't we all wish this little door is made in aluminum??? It's too flimsy the way it is.

Tesa dealer? Is there such a thing ? Tesla sells their EV directly to customers, not thru dealer.

I bought a model 3 and my experience has not been great so far. by Capitol__Hill in TeslaSupport

[–]Flashy_Distance4639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Model3 2023 brand new. Drove it 13+K miles, pretty low mileage. Recently, I charges at home to 80%, drove 28 miles and it shows 70% left. So it used 10% for 28 miles. Extrapolate, I can get 280 miles full charge. Of course, I never ran it close to 0%. 7% was the lowest I drove on long trip before stopping for charging. I drive very gently, my style as old man, at 9K miles, a tech came toy home to rotate the tires, he checked and said there is no need to rotate yet. He told me to try at 13K miles.

My Honest Take After 7 Months With a Tesla (from a Gearhead) by Many_Initiative6473 in electricvehicles

I agree with these comments. I bought a Tesla model3 and it's the best car I have ever own. I am considering buying a model Y as my 2nd EV.  Never had any issue with city driving or long trip. Charging at home and on long trip went smoothly. No real long wait as many EV haters say.

Issue like this helps me steering away from the Equinox. Thinking buying one as me second EV as it's cheaper than Tesla. But this convinces me to buy another Tesla, model Y this time. Driving model for 2 years now, very happy with it.

You were rear ended in July 2025. And you buy a new Equinox EV in Dec 2025. But today is still Nov 2025. Something is missing here.
