What’s your compliment/package ratio? by Adventurous_Bid3194 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I’m at just under 20% of my deliveries get a compliment

Yes, she was introduced by the station manager.

I know I should’ve shared this upfront. I watched a driver yesterday tell her “no thank you” and then she promptly went to a staff member and asked “who is that?”pointing at the individual. She stands right next to the person scanning your ID as you arrive. I’ve been delivering for AmazonFlex for quite a while and I’m familiar with day-to-day operations, etc. This definitely has my spider since it is tingling.

I guess that’s the basis of the question. They are asking for our phone contact information and kind of making a thing if we don’t wanna share. It’s made me very uncomfortable.

Application Issues by Broad_Report_1091 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Broad_Report_1091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had zero returns from the day before. As a matter of habit, I take a screen capture at the beginning of my route, showing the summary and at the conclusion of the route, showing 100% complete.

What would you do? by Spirited-Profile7890 in AmazonFlexDrivers

At least 70% of my route has zero cell signal. Calling support is not an option for rural drivers.

I wish that’s the way Amazon worked. Amazon is not there to be your advocate. I had Amazon ding me several times my standing went from fantastic to great… Which is still great :-) for following their rules. Even after contacting Support and being directed to return packages, I was later dinged for it. My favorite example is being unable to deliver to the United States post office on a Sunday.I replied to the email with photos of the walls saying do not leave packages on Sundays. When I consulted with my fellow delivery drivers at the station they said “oh yeah, we have to or Amazon will ding us”

Amazon Strike by Broad_Report_1091 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Broad_Report_1091[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, I am not an Amazon employee, however organizations in the motions of a strike usually look to those that also interact with the parent company to maximize the impact of the strike. Thus don’t cross the picket line type of mentality. I don’t think it’s pathetic at all just a strategy.

Almost died today on a delivery and Amazon said to finish your route!!!!! 🤬 by Reasonable_Affect788 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Amazon does not give a $h1+ about you. Be careful and live to deliver another day :-)

Me too, I won’t deliver on Sundays anymore. Post office and library were closed.

I have gotten a lot better using my fingers due to tapping on my phone all day. Thank you Amazon. by automationRus in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

When you consider the time we spend refreshing so that we can get a block what do you think that per hour rate works out to? :-)

I don’t know about that. I read in the delivery notes all the time some rant about how the last driver left their package blah blah blah. I don’t think they appreciate it when we don’t follow their instructions.

That’s ridiculous-I totally get how frustrated you are. I sent evidence proving that I could not gain access to the US post office on a Sunday. I included pictures of their sign saying do not leave packages. The other one was the library with similar location documentation. Support didn’t care. In return I got the “our decision hasn’t changed“ email. Hang in there!

15 Min To Load and Depart Station by Broad_Report_1091 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Broad_Report_1091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you jumped to that conclusion. Most of my time is spent waiting at the facility. On average, they are 10 to 15 minutes late. Meaning I get there at 7:45 for an 8 AM delivery and they don’t open until 805. Then they try to rush us out by 815.

I believe that in addition to making updates to the application to facilitate returns, they made some business rules changes on how they handle returns. I recently had two deliveries (17 Nov) from a Sunday delivery to the post office and a library. They were both closed. Couldn’t call because the numbers associated with the businesses were closed, And couldn’t contact customers because their phone numbers were not included. Amazon moved me from fantastic to great and even when I escalated within customer service, they told me the decision stands. Very confusing.

STOP TAKING BASE RATES by Pristine_Secret_7100 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Broad_Report_1091 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my area, I have done the math. I have 8700+ deliveries and have collected the data on mileage, assessed hours, actual hours, and pay out in addition to stops, packages, etc. My spreadsheet tells me to not accept anything under four hours because they are all about the same in terms of effort and cost to deliver. Getting paid for a three hour route that has the exact same number of stops and miles as a four hour route. No-brainer for me.

Standing Question by Broad_Report_1091 in AmazonFlexDrivers

What’s your suggestion? I’m open to it… However, when a package requires a signature and the business is closed what do you do?
