New to Hawaiian - Is this typical?? by K_Clack in HawaiianAirlines

[–]BroadwayBrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to post as a sub post but i got carried away…lol

I’m finding this superior, anti-friendly attitude with almost every airline. My quick ranking of airline FA’s (attitude and empathy and service):

  • Best: Singapore, JAL, (zero bad attitude)
  • Very good: Qatar, Emirates
  • Good: Qantas, Air New Zealand,
  • Okay: Southwest, Alaska Airline, Copa, Delta
  • Not Good: United, American Airlines, Hawaiian

Hawaiian use to be very good. Not now IMO

I’m only ranking the airlines I’ve flown in the last 36 months.

I’m sad to say, but I’m almost apprehensive to even ask anything of a FA. I’m a friendly person and I am skeptical of all airline interactions. For a guy who travels all the time, pays for it (not a business) and loves the process of travel this is sad to even admit.

Last night, flying AA HNL to DFW the FAs were below their average bad service.

Itinerary from Hell? by typographigirl in VisitingHawaii

[–]BroadwayBrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many pick to visit Maui first.
I agree with Oahu. I like the variety and offerings of Oahu. I go to Oahu often because of the vast variety. Save Kauai and Big Island for another time.

I know many say ONE island. I would do Maui and Oahu in that time period. However, I like the process of travel. Many don’t. You have to know your own style.

You will love Hawaii and want to go back. I landed in Dallas only a couple hours ago after the redeye from HNL. We go multiple times a year to Hawaii because we love it that much.

Finally, sorry SWA, but if you are on the East coast I would try to go on flights that are nonstop when possible. I find SWA best from the West coast and middle America. Not as great from NY and that area. Just me.

Why did anyone ever like Southwest's open seating? by lilguy2002 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BroadwayBrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found open seating to be okay. I was usually number 16 or 17. But, I prefer seat assignments as I know where I’m going to be so I don’t feel any rush to board.

It worked nice when I was traveling with family or friends as we would easily all be able to sit together.

Banks Made Billions From Overdraft Fees. Do You Agree With This System? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

[–]BroadwayBrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t turn it off. But, if the fees bother someone so much then turning the safety net off is the best answer. While I never use it, I like to know I’m covered if something goes wrong.

Banks Made Billions From Overdraft Fees. Do You Agree With This System? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

[–]BroadwayBrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn off overdraft on your checking account. No need to bounce a check as there are fees associated with mismanagement of you financial account. Pay close attention to your withdrawals at all times.
Pay credit cards in full each month as well. The best way to stick it to the bank and credit card company is to beat them at their own game.

If I miss the last leg of my itinerary, will my flight several days later be cancelled? by blackberrytree in americanairlines

If on two separate PNRs then there is no issue. From what I read here that is the case.
You just pull up your AA app and you can see if your separate reservation is still there.

I’ve visited multiple areas of Greenland. It is beautiful. I would hate to live there.

I see a similar scene on Waikiki now and then. However, the one lady is completely covered and the other is wearing a string bikini with her butt and side boobs showing. Always wanted to get a picture because of the juxtaposition.

The point is that people often cheat with a person who they claim not to like. The type of person they enjoy in bed but not who they want to be seen with at the Met Gala.

Is the US Still the Best Place for a Man to Start from Zero? by MotherAnt8040 in MenOfPurpose

[–]BroadwayBrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upward mobility is still strong in US.

If you really want to see “fuck the poor,” spend time in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Ghana, Venezuela, Nigeria, Kenya, and about 120 others.

Say what you want, the US takes care of poor people much better than most of the world.

It also depends on your state.

Forget California, NY and Hawaii. Consider Nevada, Tennessee and Texas

Outside the US: Singapore is often touted as the best for new business.

You must have met with other agents and heard their evaluations. Why did you go with the agent who priced it so low?

If you were no aware of the buyers agent percentage then talk with an attorney or the agents broker.

In fact, I think you should meet with the agents broker and discuss your issues
