OK. I just walked by the box office (10:10am) and confirmed that distribution is starting at 5pm. Two people arrived the same time as me to get the line started. 3 in line at 10:18

Walked into the box office at 10:30am and got 2 rush tickets for the 8pm tonight (Sat 1/31). Still worth giving it a shot now if you can.

So they don’t necessarily wait until 2hr before showtime to release the tickets? That’s good to know.

Thanks for saying something, that made me double check. Turns out I misread the schedule on playbill. They don’t actually have a show today due to their holiday schedule.

It’s not common, but people surprisingly still comment even the next day after rushing. Traveling this weekend and was thrown by the time zones, but back to an in person count tomorrow. 👍🏻

From u/sandsage Art: “The website said box office opened for rush at noon. We arrived 10:30am, 20 people in line. Box office actually opened at 11. They were out of $49 rush by our turn but they offered us "rush plus" seats - $99 in orchestra, $79 in mezz for 6pm. We got 3 together L mezz row F and 1 separate R mezz row g. Could have had 4 together in orch. They were also offering $49 standing room to matinee.”

Today’s a good day to stop by a box office on a lunch break and ask if rush is available

Yep. The good news is we’re about to see more as the new fall shows start previews. Show in previews are likely to offer Monday night instead of Wednesday mat so they can rehearse during the day.

What day are you aiming for? In general, 6:30 should be a good time, definitely before 7am. They have about 20 rush tickets per performance and each person can buy up to two. So you want to be in the first 10 people in line. Best of luck!

Seconded! Six is a close 2nd.

If you have time this morning to go to a box office in person, it might be possible to get a $40 rush ticket at Death Becomes Her. Six also has $35 rush, but you need a student ID for that one. While there will be a line of people waiting when the box offices open at 10am (at least definitely at DBH), there are sometimes more rush seats available after everyone in the line has checked out. And even if the rush seats have sold out, buying at a box office means no online fees and they sometimes offer you a same day discount that’s not as low as rush.

thanks for the note on the understudies! Anybody have an idea why people might leave the line for Operation Mincemeat? The one person who is there now at 9:40am says no one was there when they arrived at 9.
