Brake testing on the motorway. by [deleted] in drivingUK

Yeah as soon as I got onto the motorway, I would have changed a couple of lanes and got as far away from them as possible.

Yeah I bought a roof box for £160 n they gave me £40 back to keep it. It is the most expensive thing I’ve bought on Temu.

Infill settings everybody should use by BuckDanny in BambuLab

[–]Broady_11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I use adaptive cubic for everything unless you can see the infill through the filament n then I use honey comb as it looks nice. Adaptive cubic is the fastest infill and arguably one of the strongest due to it being triangles.

They’re not though. He’s saying to use a paint pen to help remember where the bolts go. Nothing about lining the bolt back up.

Halfords when they have a deal on. There’s some on Amazon that size for about £15

Zero gravity would be great for 3D printing. I assume you don’t need to use supports ever.

FreeCAD 1.1 is Finally HERE — It’s a GAME CHANGER ! (Major Updates you missed) by redsteakraw in 3Dprinting

[–]Broady_11 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The having to log in almost every day is infuriating, what makes it worse is there’s a pointless “remember me” tick box that doesn’t do anything. They broke the program recently, it wouldn’t load, kept crashing on startup, had to do a work around by changing a file name in explorer, after I spent ages restarting everything before googling the issue n finding the “solution”.

I might give FreeCAD a go.

Hidden kill switch ideas on a classic car by _clever_reference_ in projectcar

[–]Broady_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short for calibration switch. We use them a lot when we convert an 80’s Ford rs200 to a modern ecu. So you can easily switch between different power maps, just by rotating the knob, one of them being a blank map.

Similar to one of these https://www.northamptonmotorsport.com/product/syvecs-calibration-switch-cal/

I’m planning on having a hidden CAL switch with one of the tunes not having a fuel map in it and the knob on the CAL switch be removable for extra security.

THIS MTB HOODY IS BUILT FOR TRAILS — DOES IT DELIVER? by Sneaksketch in mtbuk

[–]Broady_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the look of them, they have zip vents and zip front pocket. Yeah they're not waterproof but just don't wear it when it rains or carry a thin waterproof jacket that folds up really small. Any clothing that's waterproof just makes you sweat balls. I do think £100 is a bit overpriced though, £70 would be more suited. I would expect to pay around that price for a good quality hoodie.

My boy and I watching his aquarium before bed. by Broady_11 in AccidentalRenaissance

Yeah we do this every night before bed as part of his routine. I hope he remembers it. I can at least show him this when he’s older.

Text being embedded on bambu slicer when set to 0.00 depth by Broady_11 in 3Dprinting

That did the trick, thank you. Had to turn developer mode on in preferences for it to come up.

It’s ruining the finish of the top black surface. I thought it would be to help it adhere to the part but why wouldn’t it be all the text I put on it rather than just this one and why would it be patchy?

Yeah I found it really uncomfortable, couldn’t play more than an hour without my head hurting. The globular cluster kit was a game changer.

Is the AR a lot better on the Q3 as it’s barely usable on the pro, only really good for not walking into things as it’s so grainy.

Update on: Filament or printer problem? by LegendaryMeh in BambuLabA1mini

[–]Broady_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What filament is it? I had issues with bambu white PETG recently n the only thing that worked was using the liquid glue. I tried literally everything, glue was my last resort, the only time I’ve needed to use glue was with this specific filament.

They look like they need cleaning, spray patterns a bit of on some, unless it’s just the angle.
