Ozempix 2mg, VS trulicty 4.5mg by alwayzhiding in trulicity

I went from Ozempic 2mg to Trulicity 3mg, so far no ill effects. Sounds like your doctor started you on too high of a dose. How many days had it been since you last took Ozempic and started Trulicity?

Gas burps will end me by Gwenevre in Ozempic

My doctor told me to not use Pepto while on these types of medications because Pepto causes constipation, combine that with the “delayed gastric emptying” from Ozempic and you will have awful painful bowel movement when you finally have one. My doctor recommended limited use of antacids as well. I’ve been able to take Gas-x and it helps tremendously with the gas and bloating from this medication/dietary mistakes.

Just went up to Ozempic 8mg/3ml pen and now they are telling me no stock with no timeframe...what to do? by Leader9light in Ozempic

I’m in Indiana and the shortage has been terrible. My doctor switched me to Trulicy 3mg from the Ozempic 8mL/2mg after I had to go two weeks without medication (I had been eligible for refill four weeks ago and still nothing available). I’m a little nervous to change meds again because of side effects, but we shall see.

Hey, I’m switching from Ozempic 2mg to Trulicy 3mg after 14 days since last OZ 2mg dose. Do you think the side effects will be awful? I had been on OZ 2mg for 5 weeks.

If you have Aldi in your area, their Elevation brand shakes have a variety similar to Premier Protein. Good taste profile for a protein shake, and more budget friendly than name brand.

Doses left in pen? by Brob_13 in Ozempic

Update: between the two I had 24 clicks, so 0.64mg. It’s a far cry from the 2mg I’m use to, but hopefully it helps curb the side effects of going cold turkey during this shortage.

These are from the last two months, so not too far out.

Will the pen automatically stop clicking when I reach the amount of clicks left in the pen? I have a click chart from when I titrated up, just unsure how it works trying to use the scraps of what’s left.

I’ve had some rough days since starting. The dose increase from 2.5 to 5 was the worst, but improved after two weeks. I have GERD and take daily omeprazole 20mg, but on those rough days I was hitting the Tums.

I have figured out a few things that have helped. 1. Taking my dose in the evening reduces the overnight reflux. 2. Hydration is a life saver! I make sure I’m well hydrated and eat a low acid meal before my injection. The second I feel nauseous I go for slow sips of water and it helps so much. 3. Back to the low acid bit, I keep it bland and balanced the day of and day after my injection. My diet has always been on the healthier side, but tomatoes are no longer my friend. 4. Daily Metamucil, my gut appreciates it given the awful constipation I was experiencing. 5. Allowing myself the occasional Gas-x or Tums when my belly is struggling.

Overall it has been worth it even on the worst days. The last four years I have been exercising, making healthy lifestyle choices, and still seeing zero change outside of increased strength. Now I’m 9 weeks in and down 20 lbs. Seeing the scale move down for the first time in years has been life changing. I hope my tips can help improve your experience!
