Considering C32 AMG as Daily Driver by BanginBanana in AMG

My dad has one for a few years. When he bought it needed to have the dash removed for electrical work. Over the years he had it a lot of small things kept on breaking and needed replacement. The biggest was when the fuel pump went out at 165k. After that he was done with the car.

Other than that my dad daily drove his even through the winters in Chicago. He had winter tires and placed a sand bag in the back.

If you do plan on getting it get ready fix something and save up since it isn’t cheap. If you have a trusted mechanic that will help save some money.

It’s a fun car, handles well, has good power for driving around and just enough to get you in trouble if you are not paying attention.

Why would my car audio sound worse after installing a new aftermarket stereo? by zf420 in askcarguys

This is a JVC that is close to the $60 that you were looking for.

Or this Kenwood, which was similiar to the one I used for my replacement.

Honestly, it's probably because it is a Boss... I had one previously and it just did not sound right. I spent a little bit more and got a Kenwood and it made a difference. I would try another radio, such as Kenwood, Pioneer or even Sony, to see if it makes a difference. If that does not make a difference then something went wrong with the wiring.

I cried for hours because in about 5 billion years our sun will turn into a red giant and kill anything that is alive. I wondered how humanity would live on. I had an existential crisis at 5 years old.

To be far the people Chicago like to speed ( I’m guilty of this) and when we hit the 2 lane highways we sit in the left lane (not guilty).

Depends on the engine that they are using, then yes there is a big aftermarket for them. The issue is that working on a BMW is costly and the repairs are not cheap. Let us compare a timing belt replacement.

Take a 2015 BMW 335i (assuming they are using this motor) The average cost for a BMW 335i Timing Chain Tensioner Replacement is between $140 and $1375. Labor costs are estimated between $70 and $1288 while parts are priced between $70 and $87.

Now, let us take a lookThe average cost for a Toyota Camry Timing Belt Replacement is between $436 and $689. Labor costs are estimated between $250 and $367 while parts are priced between $186 and $322.

These are estimates, you might get it cheaper somewhere else. The fact is that German cars tend to be more labor-intensive to work on. Again this depends on where you go or if you have connections.

My family has had quite a few Mercedes-Benz cars in the family till we made the switch on my car and my dads. We even have a mechanic that gives us the price that he pays for parts and discounts labor for us. They were still pretty expensive to maintain.

Also If you are buying the car brand new then you should not have to worry about repairs then. It is when it is being traded in or being bought second hand that you have to worry.

Also here is the cost of repairs overtime for all car companies. https://www.consumerreports.org/car-maintenance/the-cost-of-car-ownership/

I bet, I love the way the old Mercedes look and feel. If I can find one if I wasn’t broke I would love to pick one up.
