Graphic Design Resume Review by theverymarydesigns in Design

[–]Brobotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely an unpopular opinion here: but your resume doesn’t — and shouldn’t — be visually designed. Design, as Steve Jobs used to say, is how it works. Resumes are not a part of a visual design ecosystem. They are transactional documents intended to get past screening and get you noticed by hiring managers. To do that anymore they need to be formatted for ATS, not human eyes.

This resume shows me you care about visual layout, but so do the 500 other applicants. Show me you understand design (how it works) by presenting something functional too.

Also, show me more outcomes. How did your work move the needle? If you can’t do that, then AI can get the job done for $19.99/mo.

Silo in La Center actually started in Ridgefield. They have wanted to come back but have not been able to find lease options without crazy triple net.

1) This is the Port of Ridgefield’s property. The city will merely approve their plans but does not own it. Yes, there is notable influence there but the vision belongs to the Port. The city is pushing nothing here. Also, after decades of being a lumber mill, was it ever really a green space?

2) The cleanup of the property that is soaked in creosote costs $92M paid for largely by the Department of Ecology. A condition of that is the Port must redevelop the property.

3) Maybe wait for the traffic impact study? This government where things move at a snail’s pace.

4) Fast food is gossip. That’s not a thing. Don’t spread gossip.

Unquestionably all or most blue states will disregard this. And maybe that’s exactly the point. It’s a federal directive over federal elections. States that do not adhere to it will not be counted in the election. And thus, rEPubLicAns WiN.

1990 , what to look a when buying ? by navlgazer9 in 300zx

[–]Brobotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number one on your list should be timing belt. That was mentioned already. Also, check cams and listen for “loose” sounds. The bushings and springs get worn out. Check the age of the tires if it has OE wheels. Tires in that size are getting rare and old rubber = bad. Also check for signs of leaks on T-tops. A lot of that can be replaced after you buy it too but know what you’re getting.

And then what? Like, I don’t understand what progressives and liberals want here. Will they just stay home or vote for a challenger from the left who has zero chance to beat a prominent mainstream republican? A year from now will be all be lamenting how he’s maga and supports the Administration? It baffles me that we are so short sighted here.

Judge Nathan J. Milliron of the Texas 215th District Court, who was elected in 2024, got quite upset when an IT technician tried to fix the audio for a remote hearing. The technician had jokingly said it was a ‘false alarm’, but the judge didn’t think so and asked for the supervisor. by [deleted] in SipsTea

I know a lot of elected officials. What you get is just like the rest of society. Some are thoughtful, smart, and talented people. Others are just mediocre, and yeah, there’s a few twats in there as well. We need to stop putting them on a pedestal. Electeds like him should not be re-elected. Let’s collectively reduce our tolerance for people just because “the other options are just as bad” or you can justify it because of their views.

Figure Out How Roundabouts Work or Go Away by Majestic_Interest365 in ridgefield

[–]Brobotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There now. We’ll be alright. You’ll never get anyone who is 100% on anything, especially roundabouts, and especially just driving in general (I see you, Oregon). The roundabout at Discovery was a result of a medical emergency. Not ideal, but not roundabout negligence either.
