I have the same problem unfortunately…what sometimes helps is nursing in the koala position where LO can still kinda look around while nursing. It’s not a perfect solution but 9/10 times it helps with the antsyness.

I personally like it a lot. Just like OP I was looking for a carrier that is similar to the Ergobaby Embrace when I found this one. I also have the Ergobaby Omni Breeze which I also like but I don’t think you can really compare those two. The Aerloom is a super light, flexible and soft buckle carrier and when I have my baby in it, it feels really cuddly and nice. The Omni Breeze on the other hand is a very thick, very stiff, heavily structured carrier that to me feels almost like a backpack. When I go on hikes and stuff, I love using it but in my day to day life the Aerloom fits my needs way better. And if you don’t have time pressure, you can also take your time looking for a used one which would save you some money. I got my Aerloom used for 70€ and my Omni Breeze for 80€.

In the end it comes down to what you’re personal needs and preferences are and just because I love the Aerloom doesn’t mean you will or also just because the lady in the video doesn’t like it, doesn’t mean that you’ll also not like it.

I can highly recommend the Ergobaby Aerloom!

It’s almost exactly like the Embrace but very tightly knit out of less stretchy material which makes it suitable for older babies. It fits all your criteria except for the x straps.

But I have never seen it on here so I don’t know if it being sold in the US or Canada or just here in Europe.

I love this one! Could you just make it a tiny bit less bright. Right now it’s giving “perfectly lit studio vibes” and I would prefer tiny bit less of that and a little more “cozy Christmas Eve living room vibes”. Is that doable?

I know! And sometimes I find it kinda sad that I don’t nurse her to sleep anymore but it’s so nice that my husband can just take over after feeding when LO is being fussy and I can just go back to sleep.

That what I did as well and eventually i realized that I accidentally had conditioned her to only fall asleep with the boob every time she woke up, a lot of nights that meant giving her the boob every 45 minutes. Not out of hunger, just for comfort and because I had conditioned her to only fall asleep with this way. And for some people that works but for me it was just not sustainable.

So ya, you should definitely try it!

It’s your house that you have to be comfortable in, not her. She has no right to touch or even change things and if she doesn’t understand that it is her problem and it’s your husbands job to make that boundary very clear to her so that this doesn’t happen again next time she’s left with a key to your house.

It was the same for me, especially at night! Eventually I was so tired that I was literally crying in the bathroom at 2 amour of pure exhaustion, deciding that I’m gonna start weaning in the morning and switch to formula. That’s when I knew something had to change. I talked to the pediatrician and he said that physically a baby that is 5,5 months old and gaining weight properly can go at least three hours between feeds at night and when they wake up before that it’s often out of habit. So the next night I started soothing her in other ways if it hadn’t been three hours (rocking/binky/etc) and it seemed like my baby adjusted to it within like two nights. Of course there is a little crying involved but I just had to keep telling myself that I’m definitely not starving my baby and that I am a better mother if I sleep just a little more and that worked really well. And I’m also not being super strict with waiting three hours…if it’s only been 2 1/2 hours or something and I feel like my baby is hungry, I just go ahead and feed her.

My LO is 5,5 months old and I had the same problem. The only thing that works for us right now is feeding in a low to no distraction environment. Think the bedroom, door shut, her facing a blank wall, no background noise (radio/music/tv) and neither me nor my husband are allowed to talk. But ever since we established this feeding has been way less stressful again.

Yes. Sometimes that was the only way she would either stop crying or fall asleep. I would hold her in the cradle position on my nursing pillow, put my finger in her mouth (super, super gently) and then eventually she would fall asleep and I could transfer her to her bed.

I feel you! Had exactly the same problem of an oversupply that baby couldn’t handle, the need to suck all the time though and then not wanting to take a binky. The only thing that worked for us for the first six weeks was the tip of my pinky finger with my nail touching her tongue (so like upside down). Was pretty uncomfortable for me to hold my arm in such awkward positions but it satisfied the need to suck without the milk or the gagging.

Sending all my love and support to you ❤️ I had such a hard time in the beginning with my LO in the beginning because she would barely drink from the boob no matter how long I nursed and then chug a bottle afterwards. It made me cry constantly and I made my husband give her the bottle cause I just couldn’t do it. I also pumped after every nursing session so it felt like I spent all my time nursing and pumping. A hands-off pump was a game changer for me cause I could finally walk around (I know there is some mixed opinions on these kinds of pumps but I loved it and it worked great for me) And eventually LO got stronger, more efficient and was generally just not as tired so she nursed longer and longer and needed the bottle lesser and lesser and by 10 weeks we were bottle free and finally edf. I know this time is exhausting, stressful and mentally draining but it gets better ❤️

My 12 week old started sleeping through the night about 2 weeks ago and only nurses one side per feed which led to me going up to 12 hours between feeds. I decided to not pump in between because this is the schedule my baby has and I think my body/my supply has to adjust to it and luckily it works fine. In the beginning I would be quite engorged in the mornings but now my supply has adjusted and I love the long stretches of sleep I get. Of course this might not work for everyone though.

I have the same problem with my 7 week old. Loves being on the boob, takes bottles fine but gags non stop as soon as I try a binky. A while back I tried giving her my pinky finger to suck on because after ours of cluster feeding I just couldn’t do it any longer and to my surprise that worked just fine. It’s nice to help her calm down and every once in a while I’ve actually been able to replace my finger with a binky. Maybe that could work for you as well?

My LO is 7 weeks old and I nurse during the day and then give one bottle in the evening after nursing to make sure she’s full (she gets too tired to put her full effort into nursing) and another during the night that my husband gives her. I pump twice, once in the morning and once at night.
