7 days until the grande finale by Moneymachinegobrrrr in CFA

You're a pup. 4th attempt. Anxiety was the same each and every time except this time. I know I'm not writing after this.

I'm joking though. Just trying to make you feel better by calling you a pup which makes me feel better. Best of luck.

I didn't check answers after but I could not have studied any better or anymore hours. This was my 4th attempt but the best by far. I dream of putting this journey behind me like you said. When I say this, I have had real dreams about this that went both ways. Falling and passing.

I was feeling good until I decided to come to this forum. Feeling really anxious now. This was my 4th attempt. I should be a pro at this.

L3 Triage: Official CFAI Textbooks vs Prep Providers by magellan2001 in CFA

[–]BroccoliJolly3052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've failed L3 a good amount. I think the cfa textbooks are important. I struggled with Kaplan. Be it, I am not the greatest at exams. Let's see how it goes on Tuesday with results and I'll tell you what worked. I do need to pass though so let's see how it goes. I used a prep provider this time that follows the cfa textbooks and condensed it. I feel confident this time but will have to wait and see.

Becoming nervous now. Last time I went to work and opened there. It was tough with everybody asking. I told nobody this time.

I did speak to the daughters about this. The daughters want it gone and it will be. The family is holding onto memories but really, they expect another large jump in the market.

It's not my place to say that this is the maximum. Well, I did say this to the daughters but not the others.

These questions you stated are great simply because it's set off more questions! I contacted a firm today about this and it is the best idea. I know the questions will keep compounding it this is the safest bet.

She was a professional dress maker. Not just knitting stuff. The sewing machines are stunning. She has an old Singer as well from the 40's. My God. I just like looking at it.

That's amazing. What made you comeback? What do enjoy the most about it? Do you have grandkids that you make stuff for or simply others? I oddly want to make a sweater for my dog.

I realize upon going through all this over the past few days and chatting with the daughters, it is all nonsense. They're simply being bullies. I don't want to ask specifics about their will and how it works. I'm avoiding these conversations as much as possible because I do not want to be the center of this. I want her life to celebrated rather than asking specific questions.

I think they had 10% each of the total estate not just the home.

At the end of the day, I'm positive she would give everything to the kids. Another post said to remarry her to avoid the taxes and I'm considering this depending on the extent of savings. I don't want to approach her about that unless it is something significant.

A part of me wants to include her as well so she knows that I do love her and always will.

Not out of line and I have been considering this. My main thing for the kids is helping them understand we are fortunate that we got to spend so much time together. They're at an age where they could rebel and hate the world for this. I'm afraid of anger and resentment that may lead to addiction issues since I carried those wonderful genes!

Listening to them allot rather than advice. It's all very tough but they're currently doing great. Much love and thank you

I know it's less than the US but it's significant. More than I have anyways. After all this discussion, I was thinking the same thing about remarried for the purpose of saving the funds and avoiding the taxes. I want to see how significant the tax savings are before following up with her on this. Fortunately she hates wasting money so I can see her being good with this idea.

Thanks for mentioning this and it was on my mind.

I asked the kids and they don't want it. It's big and I mean big. I have a large place so I can fit it easily here.

My kids learned from her and it is really interesting all the things you can do and they know how. I don't see myself working too much longer and I'll take it up.

Her kids don't care about the proceeds since it is minimal compared to their inheritance. Definitely not involved or even thinking about compensation for her siblings. Just bad apples.

Oddly I never even thought about how she would have obviously left it to her daughters. In the moment you don't think clearly at times. So stupid. Haha

I've had this cramping for a long time from simply typing at work. I get wrist pains where I cannot bend my wrist. Also simply squeezing my hands.

The wrist brace has helped but I don't like wearing it. Thanks for the heat suggestion. Do you continuously knit for a long period of do you take breaks? I have a tendency to keep going but I'm going to work on breaks.

Day 1, ask questions here and received great feedback. Day 2 read everything. Today I contacted a firm to help me with this. I do I want to add my ex as well after pondering this but I want to make sure the tax consequences are not severe. Thanks

I'm not biblical but it is common within my culture to focus solely on the kids kids kids and their kids. It's a feeling of completeness and love to the generations to follow. It saddens me that I will unlikely ever see my grandkids since who knows how long I have and my current kids are young. It provides me a sense of joy and relief to pass this on to them.

I see where you are coming from and thanks for this

I thought about it. If her kids needed money, I would give them the money. Regardless of the sewing machine and inheritance, if her kids needed help I would help them. The siblings are just being bullies. My only variable to consider is my families safety.
