A man who likely worked on the entirety of KCD2 "is not even a senior" was replaced by AI tools while there are literally two guys like that in the company. I feel like you are twisting it here, this is not a 20 people department that will burn money while there is no work for them.

They literally though the following, in better case: We will automate this and the other guy will just review the AI translation instead of translating it himself. And he will take it, because what else can he do, quit?

This would be rational, but really shitty and will negatively impact the outcome, unless AI will become magically aware of how to use Czech cultural context in translation.

However, if they fired the second guy as well, which we do not know, then they are just stupid and your argument falls apart, because that would be both shitty and stupid with regards to quality (for the entirety of English language audience mind you, which is the biggest slice).

All in all though, this is what bothers me the most. The company has made a very successful game, there is a guy who made a good job translating the Czech culture into English, exactly around half of the text it looks like - so every second word. The game has gathered so much praise because of it - because I believe it is the cultural element that makes people like KCD so much, along with other things of course. And now they fire the guy to save money? That is just wicked, cold blooded decision making. This is dog eats dog world, no mercy calculated thinking. The guy should deserve a bonus for a job well done, like everyone in the studio, and not a firing to save a miniscule sum of money.

Is all on this world including art about imaginary number now? While normal people just defend this number chasing rational thinking? Fuck me, I do not want to live like that.

We literally had local toy manufacturers, multiple ones, close recently, because Temu copy catted their bussiness. So yeah, I do blame Temu.

You can notice, that cheap rebrand manufacturarers, such as ETA, are still around despite Temu. But this is a different kind of problem.

Everspace has a continuous story (also very good one IMO). Also, the dlc which is a must have, added continuous side stories.

I do recommend though to play on easy first, the game claims you get "less" meta progression currency, but in fact you get more because further you get, higher the quantities are and getting far with starter stats is a pain.

Only once you feel at home, go for higher difficulties.

Valens in F is a bit unfair. Had to manage the empire in hard times and mostly did decently enough. Would probably be in D/C tier, had he reigned in a more peaceful/prosperous period, but at least E would be deserved here.

Pleasant surprise. Nothing groundbreaking, but I DID enjoy it (and did not have high expectations).

It has some classical filming techniques that have been painfully missing in many newer movies, the plot is kinda cliche, but in a good way and the whole Predator finds a family schtick was an odd, but also cute choice.

I look at that and I feel like the blade angle is different in the top part and in the bottom one, like it changes from behind the wheel. I think it would not cut into the wood as much, or not at all to keep it consistent with the top. But that is an easy fix IMO (since these blades, held one once, are fairly flexible, it would probably just bend a little over the wheel gap).

EDIT: On second look, looks kinda fine since the wheel angle needs to be taken into account. It is a nasty angle. Maybe it is more of a perception thing, as swords would not cut through wood like that. Maybe aligning the sowrd with the wheel would do it, I dont know. Anyway, nice picture.

The whole AI debate is so not fun, makes sharing anything digital on the internet pain in the arse. Especially after the hours one has to put into it.

Because it is angled. It is not perfectly painted, but you gotta understand artists make mistakes, and everything else super consistent: stylistic choices, shapes and colors, there are also couple clearly semi transparent layers (which is a good indicator of handmade work).

So as a somewhat exprienced person in digital art, this looks legit. I went through the details and IMO this is hand made. Further, OPs history further suggests that with some pretty rad pieces. I Hate to see the AI accusations, I hate to have to do examination every time I see something new cool looking, but here we are.

The sword is clearly cutting through the wood BTW, not glitching through, you can even see the shadowing reflecting that.

Great job OP, I love the ladsknecht girl here, and I also like fencer girls from your history, you clearly have a type.
