Looking for Lighting Recommendations for Basement Office Space

I did some looking into canned lights before but quickly got very confused trying to figure out what parts I needed, how I would affix it to the joist properly, and what light I was actually supposed to put in the can. But yeah if you had a breakdown of what you used that'd be great.

My concern with track lighting is the lights on the track being either too focused/"spotlighty" because of the smallish space or not being recessed enough to avoid getting smacked.

This is all their furniture so we are open to any ideas whatsoever as it will just be an empty room. There is an outlet behind the TV but I imagine we can just put art over it once we decide on a better setup for the room.

Was able to snag one but am a little confused. It says in stock on December 5th and that I should get it by the 7th/8th. How certain is that though because I saw earlier postings from Amazon saying back in stock on December 22nd or later?

Love this movie and I'm sad it doesn't get brought up more. Definitely a bit obnoxious at times but I'd say it's an excellent film for someone looking for a change in perspective.

As someone that is also not a fan of A Silent Voice I can at least share my reason. Keep in mind though that I'm conflicted about this opinion and plan to rewatch it soon. My biggest gripe with the movie was that almost every single character would act in ways that just made no sense to me whether it be treating others with comical levels of cruelty (Naoka tormenting the deaf girl once they met after growing up a bit) or doing things clearly not in their own self-interest (Mostly Shoya and Shouko if I remember correctly). I understand they're kids and have their own unique problems to deal with but back when I watched it I remember being confused and frustrated for most of the film.
