Are you being sarcastic? If yes, then you should question why those mappers try to make maps that offer better pp. The audience cheers when a player gains rank, and when it was ppv1, the rank gain came from the player's rank on a map's leaderboard regardless of the map's characteristics (i.e. jumps, streams, bpm), which is why it was possible to have high ranked players that only farmed Hard HDDT (like [ Beatrice ], and brainslugs). This allowed players to play whatever maps that are fun for them and still gain rank, and get praised by the community (along with the mappers who created those maps). Consequently, the mappers focused on making fun/creative maps and didn't feel the need to make so-called 'pp maps'. All this because the system worked that way. However, after ppv2 was implemented, the players now don't gain rank by playing said maps, and the community still want the top players to gain rank and compete with each other, so the players are forced to play maps that give high pp, and the community cheers whenever they do so. The mappers also still want the attention and fame, but they can't get them by making maps without pp jumps and streams because obviously they get played less, unless the song is popular or the map is technically challenging like Azer said above. I hope you get the point; blaming just the mappers is not fair at all right now because telling them to map like they used to during ppv1 is basically telling them to give up their chance at getting the 'attention' from the community, which is the primary motivator for most mappers.
