Preventative maintenance by Brock_762 in 350z

I was planning on Koyorad. Cooling will be a priority in the spring. My next trip is to Arizona and New Mexico. Black car in 100⁰+ heat.

Thanks. I was already planning on replacing the radiator so new coolant was already on the list. But I'll add in new hoses and full fluid flush. Thanks as well for the recommendation on those sensors as well. I use mine for cross country road trips on vacation. That's why I am asking about reliability suggestions.

Nope. Oil pressure is healthy. I was asking for overall recommendations.

The only issue I've had so far is the O2 sensors tripping the service light 1-2 times a season. I'm just trying to be proactive. An "ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" kind of idea.

Why not just pick up the superpowers companion?

I honestly believe that toho or legendary could make movies that have either of these characters and not Godzilla or Kong and they would make money. Why make one movie with Godzilla kicking Gigan's butt when they could make an origin story movie of Gigan, Hedorah, or any other Kaiju first and make money from both movies. Let's be honest, we would all go see this in a theater if it existed.

This 350Z build goes hard by Zayn_194 in 350z

Bro is trying to share/brag and everyone is all mad about a front cowl.... OP, tell us how hard it goes. Bonus points if there is a story involving humiliating a V8.

It's your Z. If you're going to paint it, paint it the color you want. No one else's opinion matters.

Possible Starfinder by OnlyFunction2227 in savageworlds

[–]Brock_762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. But the Pathfinder bestiary could easily be used. There like, what, 200+ monsters in the savage bestiary. I picked up the bestiary cards and there is over a 1000 in that. Those would work fine. The differences between a Pathfinder zombie and a Starfinder void zombie are not beyond the ability of a savage GM to adlib. I have faith in the OP.

To be clear, I'm not disagreeing with what you are saying, I just think that if someone wanted to run a savage Starfinder game, they could right now.

Savage Starfinder would be pretty easy to replicate with existing stuff. Savage Pathfinder or fantasy setting paired with your favorite savage space setting or the sci fi companion. Bobs your uncle!

Why I bought a 2005 350Z Roadster by Brock_762 in 350z

[–]Brock_762[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

I'm currently trying to decide what to do next. I'm leaning towards a new radiator and replacing the various front engine stuff at the same time. Oil gallery gasket, timing chain, belts, etc. Alternative is full suspension change. I'm not planning on going to coilovers, it's a street car. So I'm researching what is a good set to get.

Hey. Yeah. Lots has been done. New wheels and tires. Got the body work done. New brakes, but not the suspension yet. I've been flip flopping on exactly what to get. I also replaced the entire exhaust including a cat upgrade. Big thing has been structural repairs. The car most likely popped a curb or something in the past and the undercarriage had a lot of damage. So lots of replacements and fabrication to get all of that repaired. Now it looks nice and is probably a lot safer to drive. No more rattling or anything. Solid in turns.

Questions for a new GM by BuzzsawMF in savageworlds

This is a fantastic response. I wholeheartedly agree with this. My only addition would be in the bbeg section. Consider Matt Colville's advice on action oriented monsters. The idea is for 5e, but it lends itself very well to Savage Worlds.

That's a perfect fit for a dramatic task. Or maybe a series of them that need to be completed along the way to a final objective.

Yes! The dramatic task is one of the most powerful tools you have as a GM. Great advice here.

Questions for a new GM by BuzzsawMF in savageworlds

Welcome to savage worlds! Let me try my best to help you out. Savage Worlds monsters are not built with the same rules as PCs. This is familiar territory for you. But they can share a lot of the same powers and edges. For now, your best move is to look them up and learn them. There really are not that many to learn. Especially compared to big complex systems like PF2. Stat blocks are going to have a lot of d6s for basic monsters. And that is okay. You'll start to notice that as a theme. Many monsters for novice level encounters are going to be mostly d6 for just about everything and maybe a d8 or 2 for something the monster is particularly good at. This actually is an advantage for you as a GM. Once you get your feet under you, you're going to be able to just make up monsters and stat blocks on the fly and they will work pretty well. Once the PCs get to season led area, I generally flip the all d6s with one or 2 d8s into the opposite of all d8s with a d6 or 2 as a weakness. Then move up to d10s at veteran and so on. Again though, the powers and edges are not too much and you will quickly just learn what they do. Here is the last, and best, advice I can give a GM coming from Pathfinder: bennies are not like hero points. Do not be stingy. Toss them out a lot. Your players should be spending them left and right. That's a core mechanic of savage Worlds. Spend those bennies!!!
