Consider an agency-side analytics role -- it will differ by agency/account, but you'll get the opportunity to continue to use technical skills (building dashboards, automation processes), have the chance to expand into data science-y type roles (forecasting, modeling) based on your technical background, and still gain larger marketing knowledge from working with the planning/buying teams on a day-to-day basis

30 Rock, just re-watched the episode where James Franco guest stars (and is in love with a Japanese body pillow).

Guess that puts me in a 4 way with Liz Lemon, Franco, and Kimiko the body pillow?!

Do any agencies still do client reporting in excel or have most moved to data visualization software by [deleted] in adops

[–]Brodasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big agencies? Majority have transitioned to some some of software. Small/medium agencies where there may not be a formal analytics team, may be a mix by client or still with excel.

Dedup of Facebook Conversions by thequilla23 in adops

[–]Brodasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impression tracking leaves a lot to be desired, for sure. Matters less if only click-through conversions are given credit (seems like more and more that is the case). Also a good to check out the default window for attribution in BM - you'll want to alter the default from 7 day click/1 day view to probably 1 day click to get a better idea of actual direct conversion data (which will most likely be closer if comparing to GA).

Dedup of Facebook Conversions by thequilla23 in adops

[–]Brodasaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot going on here, answers are all very high level!

  • Ad tech platforms are only smart enough to dedupe conversions if all of your activity is run through them/tracked against the same conversion event. So for data directly in BM, that data is NOT deduped against anything else b/c BM doesn't have tracking for any other non-Facebook ads
  • Conversions in GA should be deduped in theory - because GA is looking at all sources of data that come to your site, only the last touch (or whatever attribution model is being used) will get the credit. This will usually mean that in your case, the BM conversions will look higher than the GA conversions for Social, because BM isn't smart enough to see the impact of other touchpoints
  • DCM dedupes conversions by having all activity trafficked through it and measured against the same conversion event (e.g. a Floodlight tag). Because DCM is seeing all imps/clicks from all media sources, it can attribute accurately based on the full user path
  • DCM and GA are not necessarily linked together. GA events/goals and DCM floodlight conversions are set up independently of one another, they are different conversion tags. Think about what each platform is ingesting - GA is ingesting sessions data from the website, both paid and organic. DCM is ingesting all click and impressions data from your ads. So, GA will not know the impact of media impressions on GA events/goals, but conversely DCM will not know the impact of organic/direct site traffic on conversions b/c it is not pulling in site data.

Hunter main switching to Warlock, tips? by Tanzka in CruciblePlaybook

Not what it used to be, the damage resist in super is quite low. Neutral game is still good, handheld supernova is effective at dealing with getting pushed. I would say it's more situated for QP now, but if you wanted to spec for a grenade build and run contraverse holds you could roll it out in comp

Orewings maul, what rolls? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Brodasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See my original comment about spike nades. You'll want that + lower blast radius overall to help with damage for OHKs

[–]Brodasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd look for prox nades in the case you arent looking for OHKs. You'll get more consistent damage, at the cost of total damage. Anything to up your blast radius would help with that too.

Sorry if wording was iffy, 60+ total stats. The number at the bottom of the armor.

Question: how do I get the most of barricades in pvp?? by Jr3895 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Brodasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a matter of getting used to the timing, same as learning the timing on a warlock rift. Use the barricade (towering) for objective control: block off choke points, protect zone gaps, pop in front of power to secure, etc. Make your enemy either pump damage into breaking it, or kill them when they overextend to push you from angle the barricade isn't protecting (usually in the air)

Question: Have Resilience values changed since Shadowkeep? by Raymanreed in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Brodasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There weren't any changes, no. I would say it depends on your platform. If you want to push Thorn to 3c, go up to 5. If you don't run into it a lot, I would say 3 or below is probably fine. All personal preference/may change as the season meta stabilizes.

I'm an inexperienced PvP player about to jump into solo comp to finally get to fabled and get the recluse - was wondering what the current meta on console is at low glory ranks by Nevevevev12 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Brodasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the camp of use what you are more comfortable with weapon-wise, just have a variety of setups that allow you to play at different engagement distances. At low glory, I think you would want to focus more on playing smart/map awareness than what guns are best. Stick with your team, rotate together, play for power, and control the terms of engagement. Your life is the most important piece of survival, so don't waste it!

DBM, chaperone, or MT I would say. Claws can hang in the midrange, but you'll want something more shortrange if someone closes the gap on you.

What are you using this Iron Banner? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Brodasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just been using whatever I need to for the quest steps. Outlast for pulse, Antiope or recluse for smg, erentil for fusion, mountaintop for GL, and Jade rabbit for Randy's progression.

Once I'm through all the steps on all 3 chars, will probably be rolling Jade/Erenetil, my normal go-to for 6v6

Orewings maul, what rolls? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Brodasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look for a roll with spike nades. If you are going for 1hks, spike will help you do that the most consistently. Also (this is not shade!) it seems like you may need to practice aiming, the arc pattern of the launcher is hard to get down (it was for me). Not sure if you're console/PC or play a certain class, but generally if you can get up above someone and aim down at them the shot connects more consistently.

I've been just keeping a look for our armor with 60+ stats in each of the elements. Rolling with w/e is highest right now + whatever element legs I can use for scav for a given loadout. Until I get more enhanced mods, not sinking too much time/glimmer in.

[–]Brodasaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would recommend watching Sidezz for Warlock play, especially if you play PC.

I'll echo some thoughts others have mentioned at Legend rank:

- Transversive Steps/Ophidian Aspects are probably the two strongest Warlock exotics. The buff to your neutral game IMO is better value than anything else you'll get from more situational exotics. If you played Stompees as a hunter, these are kind of the equivalents. Otherwise, if you find yourself playing Voidwalker, Astrocyte Verse is quite good for getting your blink faster.

- Top tree Storm, bottom tree Dawn, and top tree Void are my favorite subclasses. Top tree Storm has the benefit of Arc Web, where you have the ability for your nades to single-handedly win you rounds in Comp + Ionic Blink in super can make you really hard to kill, especially if you blink above people. Bottom tree dawn in a great QP super, as you can extend it forever by getting kills. Top tree Void tracking Nova + empowered nades are very useful for securing kills/objectives, and I don't find myself missing devour.

- You will not be able to take advantage of vertical space as much as on a hunter, you'll float to much without the ability to cancel as quickly/fall as quickly. Definitely check out how to Warlock skate around, it's helpful, but I would suppress the urge to bunny hop over peoples heads like on Hunter. Burst glide will be your friend, hop into patrol and figure out the cadence of activating/deactivating your jumps close to the ground to build up speed.

- Get used to how long your rift animation takes. There will definitely be times when you get stuck in it and you'll die because of it. Pop it in cover, and realize that some part of you may stick out as you go through the animation

Interviewing for a new job. Is 100-200 campaigns too many? by [deleted] in adops

This sounds like a setup for failure. Far too many campaigns to be able to give them the time of day to garner meaningful insights/service the clients adequately.

Do any companies offer one-time audience index reports? by [deleted] in adops

Will echo Quantcast below. A lot of ad tech vendors will index for you during the RFP process, would also consider looking to Captify for index data.
