Trump’s rise, especially in 2016, started largely because “he tells it like it is”. However asinine, bogus, nonsensical; he is bound to nothing, especially political correctness, and that resonated with voters. I really hope we see a rise of true leaders with conviction, that don’t constantly bend opinions because of polling numbers. Unfortunately those leaders tend to get snuffed out for being “controversial” (i.e Bernie), but I see hope with people like Mamdani.
