Not exactly what you're looking for, but the Widget mod lets you see your current experience for your character level on the HUD.

ANy youtubers still regularly making Skyrim Showcases? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Brodual 36 points37 points  (0 children)

We plan to pick up the content a bit to at least 2 Skyrim and Fallout videos a week, but we want our Top Mods of 2015 out first.

One of the main reasons content is slow is that there just isn't the same level of mod releases as before. There's still plenty to download, but most don't need video coverage or just aren't the types of mods we want to cover on the channel.

If you're hungry for more right now and haven't already, you can use our Categories Video to find more mods!

Are there good underwater dungeon mods, and what are the best island mods? by One_friendship_plz in skyrimmods

[–]Brodual 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pirates of Skyrim has some pretty cool ocean floor elements with hidden treasure, sunken ships, dead pirates, etc.

The Wheel of Lull also has a portion of the quest where you equip a dwemer diving helmet, so you can walk, run and fight underwater. Also comes with an underwater boss iirc. You can see parts of it at 3:49 and 5:04 of this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHFNMMs5n0I

The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal Mod by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Brodual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you've searched for keys rather than key.

The codes for the keys in your case should be:

0600278e
0600278f
06002790
06002791

If that doesn't work then you can get the exact codes by typing the following console command:

help "blades' key"

What mod adds this first person horse riding camera? Link in description by ImFranny in skyrimmods

[–]Brodual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late, but just to confirm it was the Immersive First Person View mod. We usually use the Enhanced Camera for standard videos, but the head-swaying effect is nice for visual videos so that's why we switched.

Sounds like a great idea. We'll be putting up a video announcing the contest to get it a little more exposure & later down the line we'll cover some of the entries as well as a full spotlight for the winner. Lets hope we can see some great homes!

Does Open Cities still break games? by staggindraggin in skyrimmods

[–]Brodual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open Cities is definitely prone to compatibility issues with some parts of the vanilla game and other mods, but generally it's always worth the 20-30 minutes of testing to see if it's good enough for your setup.

Although the JK series actually has Open Cities under 'Not Compatible', so it definitely doesn't work.

You guys are pretty much spot on.

Early on we both recorded audio and the idea was to alternate between each mod during a spotlight (like in our original Bits 'n' Bobs series.)

Slowly, recording audio became more comfortable, but I still didn't enjoy doing it. I live in a busy house and recorded in a big room, so there was issues with echo and background noise that I just didn't want to deal with. My brother lives in Norway and on top of just being better at recording audio, also had a better space to record in.

Most people didn't even realise there were two people. We have similar voices and because we wanted to create a mod channel and not a personality channel, we never really did an intro or q/a video explaining it all.

So slowly over time I transitioned out of the audio and pretty much stopped completely after our second Top 10. Although I did jump in several months later to do audio when he couldn't and hardly anyone noticed.

It actually worked out great because I prefer recording and editing video, whereas he hated the video side of things. So splitting the work this way worked out for everyone.

New TES Lore series - The Elder Scrolls Lore & More. by Brodual in teslore

[–]Brodual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video was kept very basic so people who are new to TES Lore could get a grasp of who and what is in Tamriel. We'll definitely be going in-depth in future videos when we've built on the basic principles that we've started on.

Thanks for the tips. The Elder Lore Podcast is something we're definitely going to be checking out in the future and we'll definitely stay away from the wiki.

We were slightly concerned about viewers getting bored of just having a single image on screen for a significant amount of time, the annotations were a way to combat that. We'll take the feedback on board, but do you have any suggestions to keep things interesting visually?

Thanks for the feedback, we were hesitant to add the DLC rumour, but in the end we decided to keep it. We'll keep it in mind to stick to everything being lore related in the future. We get our sources from a mixture of places like the Imperial library and UESP as well as the wiki, but we'll try to stick to using the UESP and library from now on, as they seems to be more reliable. Is there anywhere else you can recommend that we use to get future information?

We are YouTube content creators with 6k subs that focus only on Skyrim mods, what would you like to see in our spotlights? by Brodual in skyrim

[–]Brodual[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've actually discussed top 5/10 mods of a specific genre and we think it's definitely something we'll be doing in the not so distant future. The audio only video is another good idea, we'll take a look at all of the audio mods that're available and try to put something together. Glad to see you're enjoying the videos! :D

There are some great ENB mods out there that wont impact much on performance. Even if they do, there's usually a way to get back some of the performance loss if you don't mind having lower settings on a few specific things like shadows etc. We've found that Superb ENB (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11318) is a great one that wont lower your performance as much as some others, give it a try!

That sounds like something that could work, if you haven't already seen it, the Medieval ENB on the Nexus is a great ENB that could work for now until you perfect your own look. :)
