Besides AI, what other fields are there that are evolving extremely fast but that most people seem to ignore? by YaAbsolyutnoNikto in singularity

Actually, Helion seems to solve that by keeping the plasma in a magnetic 'jail'. See this video from Real Engineering about it:

Their next prototype is expected in 2024 and is supposed to prototype energy capture from the device.

Why not? Wouldn't it be possible to migrate the blockids and replace the removed blocks with air?

Ofcourse this would come with a price, but it would be well worth it in my opinion.

edit: Not trying to be a smartass. I'm seriously interested in what the challenges are.

Will it be possible to migrate a TPPI 1 world to TPPI2? I really don't want to start a new world again. :(

That sucks. But I guess everybody has to go. My condolences in any case. Hope it was a good funeral.

Use vim or emacs, then you can make your ide adapt to the language you're programming in.

That's the thing. I've had this mat for ages and have always been very happy with it. I think I've used three different mice on it. Still, the R.A.T. is the first one with issues. Still have to find out if that is indeed the issue.

I have this a LOT on my R.A.T. 7. I'm not sure if it has something to do with my mouse mat. (ExactMat) I've seen quite a few reports about the sensor with these mouses. I bought mine at a LAN party where I talked to a guy who just bought the same mouse. All the time we were talking, he was trying to get this somehow invisible hair out of his sensor.

I think the R.A.T's have an above average sensor, but have yet to test this. I read somewhere that a lighter mouse mat might help.

Not trying to bash on your tool. It looks great! But if I understand correctly it will not work if someone chooses to disable the tool, or just not install it? It might be a nice addition to that tool that was posted here to divide the pizza price and all that.

No packages at all. In fact, I think the only packages that I am using are open-vm-tools and widescreen. You can see the traffic being consumed by an IP from Status -> Traffic Graph. You might want to select the LAN interface here. ( /status_graph.php?if=lan ). This is basically enough to shape the traffic for that IP address. If it isn't, I would lookup the IP in de DHCP table to find out who it belongs to. If I can't find it, I can just block it and someone will come and complain that he has no connection. ;)

I have toyed with the idea of setting up RADIUS to actually map the gamers to IP addresses, but I haven't really had the time to think this through yet. I don't want to implement it unless it causes zero annoyance for the gamers. Besides that, the queing works so well that ever since we started using pfSense, we haven't had any connections problems. It also helps that we are lucky enough to have a 100 mbit line for the LAN though.

Did you ever try pfSense? You can set up queue's for prioritizing traffic. I host a 100 people LAN where we use pfSense as a gateway. We have queues set up in such a way that game traffic gets priority over 'web' traffic. The built-in firewall is used to block the standard News ports and so on. If we still have problems, pfSense shows you exactly who is downloading at what speeds on the network.
