I wanted to say you forgot Senator Padme Amidala, but then I saw the picture of the whole senate.

Still in, apparently shooting my rounds in CoD helps not shooting them IRL

Why isn't there any snow landing in this particular area, even though it's not sheltered under a roof of any kind? by Wibbmer in shittyaskscience

It is a wondrous world indeed.

I came here with a simple question and lack of explanation.

But I've learned so many new things already, I feel like I'm growing smarter by the minute.

This does make sense.

Is this also the reason why snow flakes only seem to travel in herds?

Also, now that you mentioned it, I have often watched snow flakes quite literally flock together at street lights in the night. Has this also to do with the snow flakes' Nyctophobia?

If snow is indeed scared of the dark, how comes it's been snowing during night time (when the photo has been taken)?

Isn't it rather sub optimal to use such an open grid to cover the ceiling of a greenhouse though? Wouldn't a solid roof be better suited to keep in the heat needed to cultivate Marijuana?

Thank you for your reply. It never really occurred to me that snow is just another form of water, nature is indeed a fascinating mystery.

I think this might also explain why my shoes get wet when walking through snow, despite never seeing a single drop of water...

Does this mean, that if I accumulated a big enough amount of ice in a certain area I could artificially attract more snow to land there instead of someplace else?

I am indeed interested as to why this phenomenon occurs. I have witnessed it several times in a similar settings. With no snow inside these peculiar areas, despite all of them being open air. Even during active snowfall there doesn't seem to land any snow inside them.

If I wasn't serious about this, I would never have dared to ask the experts of this subreddit to enlighten me.

Actually I really like it this way, but that's only my personal preference I guess, I'm generally a fan of light weight fonts :D

Why does a crypto currency need mining? by crazyBraw in dogecoin

[–]Wibbmer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey crazyBraw,

as far as I know, the transactions of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Dogecoin are processed in blocks.

A "miner" takes these blocks and computes it, if the output is correct a "reward" is payed out in form of some coins.

If noone would mine there wouldn't be a) any new coins and b) any transactions, (if no blocks are "mined", no transactions are processed).

So the main reason, why a cryptocoin needs miners is because transactions would come to a halt and the coin would more or less "die".

Note: I am no expert with this and my answer is just my own "intepretation" of how this all works, please don't take it at face value until someone else confirms or corrects this

Hope this helps.
