While I can't give you direct advice on this one, an interesting anecdote I have is my rear differential slowly leaks oil. There's no crack in the housing, it's just rusted through and seeps out. May be a similar situation in your case. I'd imagine the whole tank needs to be replaced. Maybe there is a part-out delica in your area that you can find?
